It will be a while I'm afraid before any solid info. We're in a different place this year, because of the drummer situation. It will just take longer for him to learn a significant portion of the catalog, rehearse in earnest with the guys and really build the kind of on-stage band chemistry we love so much. And he might have other projects & commitments as well.
    And you know this how?

Any drummer they picked is someone who has experience and is a very active musician.
No.. my point is how do you think you know so much about how long it will take someone to get to speed?
    1. The size of their catalogue and what it takes to develop onstage chemistry.
    2. Only recently we saw another band with a sprawling catalogue - Foo Fighters - who recruited a new drummer. It took Ilan Rubin a few months to just learn the songs and then they had to work together.

And their setlists don't typically vary nearly as much.

I wonder if in the future the band will accept a pay day to play somewhere like Abu Dhabi or Singapore (often on the Grand Prix weekend). Lots of similar US bands have recently played there eg Foo Fighters, GNR etc.
One thing I would like to see PJ take the Foo Fighters lead on is playing some small club shows ahead of the tour dates to blood the new drummer.  It would be cool AF to get a few tiny 10c only shows...
In theory that would be cool AF, but it doesn’t require a crystal ball to see that the audience would ONLY be the same 100 rail mafia people for EVERY SINGLE SHOW. Think they get hate now, just wait for that scenario.
but didn't you know the band feeds off them and needs them there?  isn't that what they told us?

All i ever see there are a bunch of STIFFS. One guy was standing front row, expressionless, then let out a big yawn, mid-song.

Glendale tickets for Rush here.  I missed they added a second show so I'll have to wait a bit to see if I can get second date tickets.  Or just wait until day of...13 months from now!

Yup, originally bought Toronto and was going to fly, then they announced Vancouver so I do a much cheaper short trip by ferry.

Managed to sell the TO tickets for a smidge above breakeven, and the Vancouver tickets were a little cheaper.

Pretty expensive, but It's a band I never got the chance to see.

Also, I didn't realize TM changed their policy to not pay out when using their reselling platform until 7 days after the show. That's a long time they get to sit in my considerable amount of money :(
