Bots have been a fan problem for many, many years. They have always been one step ahead. Which I find surprising since TM now wants to resell it own tickets for more money. You would think they could find the tech to block them. Interesting about TM holding up payment until the event. That is millions of dollars sitting in TM's account earning interest. Their greed never ends.
How is TM reselling it own tickets for more money?
I guess I should have just said selling.
Still not sure what you mean by that. It's a distribution channel and collects fees on initial sales as well as resales but I'm not aware of TM having it's own tickets to sell.
I sold tickets on the TM platform in 2021 and they held payment until after the event.
Yeah, they started doing that when covid hit and all the events were being cancelled or postponed. But then they went back to paying after the sale at the end of 2022. Not sure what prompted them to go back to holding our money now.
Higher interest rates….they earn more on the held funds.
Been saying this for years. All these early sale dates a year before the show are tantamount to an interest-free loan. Pays to wait!

They did that when concerts first came back after Covid, but for the last year or two, until very recently it appears, they paid out a few days after the sale.
Gotcha. 👍🏻

TM doesn't own the tickets. It makes money on the sale regardless of whether the buyer is a bot or a human. If brokers are buying them to flip, that just means the tickets were under priced.

Actually, if you ever read the fine print on the ticket there are licenses to attend an event and can be revoked by TM at anytime for any reason. Anyhow, the point is that TM is controlling the supply of tickets to the public so you would think they would do more stop the bots.

The venue is authorized to cancel the license too but that doesn't mean TM owns the tickets. If bots snatch up all the standard tickets, don't you think that would help TM sell more premiums?

PJ should play Green Disease and dedicate it to TM.
To be fair, they could dedicate it to themselves as well. They're the ones on board with this disaster. Nothing says textbook gouging like "PJ Premium" seats which equates to paying 10 times the price for a seat on a flight flight that puts you between 2 enormous people holding babies in the last row by the bathroom. The band and 10c is completely tone deaf and only worried about how to squeeze 1 more dime from the overly loyal fan base.

Not if the prices are lower than TM premium tickets.

Ton of face value uppers for Atlanta 1&2 just dropped
Same for Nashville 1
Okay now that amount is ridiculous. Almost half of the upper deck. So many casual turned away that would’ve bought tickets during the general sale. I know they’ll sell anyway, but that’s crazy…
If they are delaying payment they best change that notice in the app and website. I’m pretty sure this is against some law.
As of right now.
"within 7 business days after the event."
I did not see that but swear it was different last week when I at to go to that section. Going through the Sell option is the only way I know to get that seat map with the arrow point at your set. I was sending seat locations to another show in September to a friend.

As @JOEJOEJOE pointed out, it appears to be a recent policy change. They're the best...
"We'll deposit your payout typically within 7 days after the event. If you listed your tickets prior to January 8, 2025, you can still expect to receive your payout typically within 5-7 days after your tickets are sold."

Lowers for Raleigh also dropped with price drops for N2. The price different between N1 and N2 for similar seats is between $400 and $500!

About what exactly? I honestly don’t remember. My argument was regarding a fall tour helping/hurting ticket sales.
I didn’t disagree about ticket drops! Regarding amount of tickets maybe, I definitely haven’t seen one like that before. I usually only notice a few tickets here or there, or at most 1 or 2 full sections.
Weird strategy to wait for the general hype to die down and release half of the whole the upper deck (the worse half). I don’t think most of us on here are jumping on those tickets.
Report coming tomorrow in my ticket thread over in GtF...

I wonder when we’ll see any movement in Hollywood N1…
Not likely. We're all guilty (unintentionally) in keeping the Premium price high. The amount of times a page is visited in the app, or website factors in to the price.
That being said, if any blue dot Premiums are left on 04/24 they will start dropping to regular price sometime that day. It'll be dramatic & quick.
