Had a pair of Pitt 2 lined up with a directly shared link. Got the link immediately and refreshed constantly. Seemed to be taking longer than usual. Never got to the carting/check out phase. Just changed to “these are no longer available”. My friend and I both were trying and neither saw the buy screen. We’ve had successful links before. So this is new.
That sucks, sorry. Mind saying what seats they are? Curious to see if they end up for sale somewhere.

It’s the API bot, it’s faster than us
The link is supposed to allow purchase before the bots even can

Roughly how often were you refreshing?
We were refreshing at the same time on our own accounts. And freshing as soon as it loaded with the same “not available yet message”. So maximum every 1 to 3 seconds. And staggered as much as 2 people refreshing would be. Pretty constantly.
Seller never received a “listed” or “sold” email but in the account it says they have a “pending offer”

Sorry mate. Why the refresh? It should take you straight to the listing. Even with a direct link the current success rate isn’t great. Anecdotical from the forum I would say maybe 15% percent and that may be generous.
Still if anyone wants to roll the dice I’m continually looking for Raleigh N1. Again I’m sure something will materialize in the last couple of weeks before the shows but the OCD keeps me looking.

Because when you load the link before the tickets “go live” it gives you the message that the tickets aren’t available yet and try again soon. If you load the link and it automatically allows you to purchase them you’re bordering on it already being too late, especially if the link was shared with multiple people

I'm 3 for 4 on the links I've dropped. And the one that got away, the buyer admitted they took a little too long entering their info.

I had it happen once last year that the tickets never became available with the link. They were my own tickets and I was basically experimenting to see the link timing vs when it first showed up on the page. Tickets weren't anything great. I did 3 trial runs, twice it worked as it was supposed to but the third time the tickets never became available on the link page before they showed up on the site. Probably just a glitch
This is gonna sound a little conspiracy-theory but
personally for me this is just more evidence that yes there are bots running
and they are using an API to purchase them.
The TM Partner API has an endpoint that allows you to
reserve tickets, and a separate endpoint that allows you to commit the cart, or
complete the purchase. I went down a rabbit hole on ticket scalping earlier
this year when it first became apparent that f2f was ruined by these things.
There are a few different news outlets that have done reports on this topic
because of how much notoriety TM/scalpers got when Taylor Swift tickets went on
sale. A lot of times, there are just savvy programmers who are buying tickets
in bulk and selling them to the online brokers. One of the videos showed
screenshots of custom software that one such programmer wrote, where it has the
capability of reserving tickets so that a person (or an algorithm) can decide
if they’re worth the investment to buy. So it essentially queues them up in a
list and you can pick and choose which ones to complete the purchase on.
The person who listed those Pitt tickets sent a screenshot
of how their account said they had a “Pending offer” for about 10 minutes
before they got the sold email and “Pending offer” changed to “sold”. Maybe
pending offer is what it says when the cart is reserved but hasn’t been
submitted yet. I would love to know if another seller who sends a link that an
actual fan buys through the website also says pending offer for a period of time, or if it just goes
straight to sold.
Now, the situation with links being subject to this is
contingent on it “glitching out” and the tickets being slow to load, or show
up, or whatever the reason is that the link didn’t give the usual advantage.
Which we know can happen, and I guess it’s just bad luck when it does whether
that’s 10% of the time, or 30%, or who knows.
I wouldn’t be surprised if VividSeats, or Stubhub, TickPick
etc, aren’t official partners of TM to use the API. Maybe they are, TM has zero
incentive to say. But they’ve got over 90 companies who are according to their
website. All it takes is one person who works in IT for one of those places to
use their sanctioned API key, or sell the use of it, to scalp tickets. Or, it’s
not rocket science to hack an API, it’s how these sites are able to send links
to tickets in a browser.
So going forward I definitely have more empathy for people who say their link didn't pan out.

When I sold tix earlier in F2F I sent a link to the group and the tickets were gone within 3 minutes and showed on my end as sold within that time, if that helps answer your question at all 🤷♀️
Is there any chance that TM "buys" F2F tickets its algorithms predict can be flipped later at a mark-up (as PJ Premium) and so some of these listings don't actually go F2F "live" at the original face value?

There has not been one ticket with proof that shows this is happening. TM is however benefiting from bots scooping up face value tickets and keeping their precious premium tickets as the only ones available. Brokers are controlling the secondary market as well not letting the causal flipper have any say in the market.

This is why 10c tickets should have their own marketplace that is only accessed by a code, similar to the codes that can be found in our accounts for the bootlegs .

I contemplated pivoting to the app. Darn. Can never be certain which F2F tool you need to pull out of your belt from one drop to another.

Same thing happened for me. After refreshing the link for about a minute, they finally went live. But then it timed out and wouldn’t let me get to checkout. The link then said the tickets were no longer available. Just then I went over to the TM app and was able to cart. I didn’t hit submit so no idea if I would’ve gotten an error code. But I was very surprised I was able cart through the app but not the link. Strange.
No dice again. Clicked through checkout and got stuck on the “Just A Moment” screen.
Ohh maybe because I had them in my cart?
Shouldn’t be. F2F doesn’t reserve the tix after someone carts them. Anyone can cart them and they’re awarded to the first person to complete checkout.
I’ve never had it get stuck after clicking “I agree” and clicking purchase before. Every other time I have gotten some sort of “these tickets are now unavailable” message fairly quickly after attempting purchase.

Ahh ok.. I most likely would have got an error code after submitting my payment.
