There was a post much earlier in this thread claiming the same thing. I’m also extremely skeptical. Until somebody posts a receipt for ~$200 tickets and then a screenshot of those same exact seats listed on TM as PJ Premium, it’s just BS. There’s probably no ill intent from the posters, just misunderstanding or human error. But TM has lots of less obvious ways to rip off consumers and manipulate the market. They wouldn’t do anything that stupid and obvious.
^^ this. It's financially a better move for TM to let the fan eat the ticket than to take on the additional risk that they can turn it.
The fact that bots exist shows that it's not a bad financial move. I'm sure TM wouldn't decline to snatch up $200 tickets that they could then reprice as $800 premiums (or $700, etc) due to risk, but I definitely don't think that's actually happening until we see the proof.
I would think TM's algorithm for purchasing and re-purchasing (if it exists) would be sophisticated enough to take several things into consideration: venue, demand, seat location, days til event, etc. So sure...if a GA seat comes up then buy it, but 200 level Raleigh N2? Probably not.
Regardless, I think they're smart enough to not mess with that level of direct, provable, manipulation -- it's not worth it.

With all the tickets they’re probably holding back it wouldn’t make sense for them to repurchase anything.

If they did then no other link sales would have been successful right? Someone dropped great side stage Atlanta couple days back via link on FB and an actual person got them.
has anyone had issues listing tickets? I'm trying to list N1 for Nashville and it lets me get all the way through the process but at the end, the "list tickets" button is grayed out and I can't click it?

Might need to add bank account for payment. If it works for you, please post the link here!

Think I figured it out. Debit card on file to be paid with expires in april and the show is in may so it won't accept it.

But making sure the tickets that are sold get to Stub hub with a kickback is a double win. They get some $$ to allow first dibs on facevalue resale, and keep face value tickets out of hands of fans who will be forced to wait or buy premium.. Premiums are usually less than SH tickets. - totally BS
Conspiracy theories aside, it’s really just TM provides a paid for API that lets scalpers automatically snatch seats at face value. You are really face with 2 choices, wait for everything to get dumped back at face value the day of the show… or incorporate as TClubResale, buy a partner API license and bot away.
I think the only thing that would move the needle is if the venues banded together and figured out how to refuse hacked barcode links - but again show me anyone in this loop with incentive to do so.

I wonder if we should set that up next time. There is a free API tier that allows 5000 requests a day (5 per second limit). I can't find the cost of the partner tier. If we get 50-100 people it might be the cost of a T-shirt.

It’s less about cost and more about biz dev / vetting. The Partner API is intended for actual legitimate business partners: sports franchises, venues, and other entities that may have a business purpose for pulling tickets on behalf of clients.
Is it possible that some partner is violating their agreement and pulling valuable concert tickets on the side? Maybe. I don’t know if API keys grant restricted access to the API client. Is it possible that TM (or some element within it) granted Partner API access to an entity that shouldn’t have one? Also maybe. But regardless, I’m fairly certain that nobody here is going to be getting access anytime soon for any amount of money. Sure would be nice though. 🙂

Looks like you are right. Signed up for the hell of it for the Discovery API. Poking around about the Partner API and found:
"Partner API
The Ticketmaster Partner API, unlike the Discovery API, is not an open
API. It is restricted to companies with whom Ticketmaster has existing,
official distribution relationships.
The Ticketmaster Partner API lets clients reserve, purchase, and retrieve ticket and event information."
Strangely enough I'm in a business that could have a valid use case for this thing.

Had a pair of Pitt 2 lined up with a directly shared link. Got the link immediately and refreshed constantly. Seemed to be taking longer than usual. Never got to the carting/check out phase. Just changed to “these are no longer available”. My friend and I both were trying and neither saw the buy screen. We’ve had successful links before. So this is new.
