But I get that too. Not everyone has the luxury to be fully engaged and on top of politics. and most feel in order to be the best person in the world, they need to make sure they themselves are taken care of. And I don't disagree with that. The problem is, its a thin line between main character syndrome and self care, especially when we live an attention economy driven by social media. And also there are people who feel like they aren't getting a fair shake economically and feel like voting for the other choice will help and I can't fault them for that.
But yeah, at the end of the day it appears this country's moral core is diseased. Its just wild to me that people feel like, their rent is too high or that they need a house and feel like the trade off of women dying, or some people who are hustling to make it in America, the greatest country to live and create opportunity for yourself is an acceptable trade off.
Ultimately I hope Democrats figure out a better strategy and messaging to bring these people back rather than things just being bad under Trump that they vote the other way again with no real plan to help them under Dem leadership (which has seemed to be the way things have been working for the past 10 years).

It also doesn't help that a solid contingent of Americans take absolute glee in spiting of others, either through policy (women, immigrants, lowest income Americans, the unhealthy and those with disabilities), or just schadenfreude (Harris voters).0

Do you believe that Kamala and Joe created inflation?0 -
Do you care that women will be unable to get reproductive health care or make their own decisions?0

I've said for years that we are going to have to curb our first amendment rights if we want to stop the sharing of disinformation.Remember the Thomas Nine !! (10/02/2018)

Conservatives have also established a very successful propaganda arm with conservative media that promote their POV and sometimes push misinformation. IDK how Democrats can break through that.
I don't think we need to put 1A rights at stake. Its about conveying the proper message and policies to persuadable voters. While MSNBC isn't an arm of the DNC like Fox is to the RNC, it does skew liberal. But that isn't enough to get through. Ultimately its about creating policies that appeal to the working class (which should be a slam dunk seeing as Dems tend to push for a more robust social safety net) and promoting the hell out of them through every outlet imaginable. and then brining these policies to fruition once elected.

But thats more or less the POV I was expecting. Hypocrisy and barely giving a shit about peoples personal choice to say nothing of their fucking lives.

Climate change is clearly real and has always occurred throughout the history of the world, but it is also impacted/accelerated by human civilization and how we choose to live. The ability for people to deny this assessment means to lack the concern to admit we need to evolve in how we interact with the world or it will destroy us faster than expected. Whether or not human civilization can be saved by mitigating the effects of climate change is not the main point, it's whether we as an advanced life form choose to try and extend our existence through whatever means possible. Right now, a large percentage of people don't care to consider that future beyond their own because it would mean changing how they live now for little to no noticeable difference in their lifetime. At some point, we will be forced to take drastic action, but by then I suspect it will be too late. It's a hopeless situation...0 -
Yep. Unfortunately some of us are voting so our kids and grandkids have a future that isn’t a burning hellscape and some want a few cents off their eggs. Trump will deliver neither. This show, another show, a show here and a show there.0
