The difference is the flop sweat flailing of the past few weeks. There’s a desperation that hasn’t been there before. Worming out of this will be tougher than 2016. He’s a known quantity in terms of governance now. People are tired.

Appreciate it. That's an incredibly short list, all things considered, but it's easy to overlook them in the moment. The $5 trillion figure did seem inflated to me while watching.

yes and dems tend to get more worked up over political speak when our candidate strays from absolute truth...and the media tends to get a lot pickier about small details like the cuts in medicare that the article discusses. They try to equate those things and fail to mention that trump is on video saying we have to cut medicare.

It happened many times 4 years ago. I remember seeing a clip of Tucker where he said it exactly how Clinton did the other night, and was immediately corrected. And I think he legitimately didn't do it on purpose, this was 4 years ago. (he may have done it on purpose since) Then it was a big deal, they were talking about it on The View and everywhere else. Then the next day Biden said it the same way, and no one says. word. It was just funny the different reactions.
The thing was the reaction to being corrected was usually "okay, so what?" that the left would say is racist. But people on the left, such as Biden himself, would say it that way too and not get the same reaction or even corrected. So I always viewed the "so what?" responses were more to the condescending corrections than the pronunciation itself. People would imply it's demeaning like you said if you were on the right, and then just ignore it if you were on the left, which prompted the "I don't really care" attitudes."

If they do it right...and so far everything indicates they will...she will just hit him with everything. Her speech last night was the best I have seen from her. She is confident and pissed off and likely using Biden's poor performance as fuel to light this orange fuckface up.

The goal should be to get him to insult her live...and she'll be ready for that.

Do you think it’s true that she hasn’t topped of yet and that he has and still hasn’t reached bottom yet in other words he’s on the downward slope and she’s going upwards? I’m just trying to learn and understand as much as possible about polls?

Honestly maybe the best speech I've ever seen. She introduced herself, hit all the right policy notes, dressed down her opponent, energized her base, grabbed patriotism from the party that doesn't deserve it, reached out to undecideds, all in 40 minutes. Killer!!!

I think there's a decent chance Trump makes a very offensive insult in the debate. He is rattled and addled.
