Still after 18 shows no mfc can’t believe it’s scratched 🤣.Ed obviously struggled in the mid section of the set and the set list was around his voice. The positives were that the venue was really very good acoustically. Very special.Mike was on absolute fire. I think the best I’ve seen him.My eldest got to see his perfect set list and he got his and my favourite all time song added, black. Which was a very special version. Ed Definitely got emotional in the we belong together end.So if I had gone on my own maybe slightly underwhelming, but having seen the pure joy on my sons face this will hold a very special place for me.Thanks as always for the memories PJ. ❤️
Can you confirm if they played ‘Upper Hand’ or not?Now it all comes down to numbers, now I'm glad that I have quit
Folks these days just don't do nothing simple for the love of it0 -
Just to comment on Ed’s voice. Did not notice any issues first 5 songs. Was ok during the new stuff other than DM which was a bit of struggle.Had a lot of missing chorus in the middle hits and was struggling.Thought he came out really strong on encore.. No issues on black alive dte.I saw him at the London show in 2018 before he cancelled the next. He was far far worse at end of 2018. No comparison for me.Obviously could get worse but I think he should be ok for London. Now it all comes down to numbers, now I'm glad that I have quit

Yeah that is a bit of a downer… I was at the London O2 2018 show where Ed struggled through & had to cancel the following night. It does disturb the evening slightly, because you’re anticipating whether each song will go all the way, or what parts Ed might miss. But I guess that also reminds us how lucky we are to still be able to see such an amazing band play.Wembley Arena, London - 28/10/96

Remember when they used to play Waiting for Stevie ?0

I went to the O2 gig in 2018 and I didn't really notice his voice until he mentioned it. But this time, I could tell during Why Go, before he mentioned it. This felt worse than 2018 but he got through it. Hope the lengthy rest between shows helps him.

In the first 30-45 minutes, he informed the audience that he had caught a cold. And asked the audience if the person who gave him the cold in Dublin was present. He himself had blamed it on the fact that he had gone into the crowd.
A short time later, he tried to explain how awful it felt in his throat. And briefly philosophized about how to proceed. And even mentioned the word „skip“ as a (hypothetical) possibility in this context.
I hope he recovers quickly. Ideally, he should see the same doctor who got him fit for Amsterdam 2022. And I hope everyone has a great concert in London.

I’d take the Dublin greatest hits setlist done well over this setlist performed poorly any day of the week.0

Wasn't he out of breath very early in Dublin also and that's why they added Eruption but, he said it was jet lag? Now it sounds like it's worse🤔 Whatever it is I feel bad for the guy when he and the band hit European soil something unexpected is always happening and it's usually health related. Get better EV🙏Post edited by vito onALPINE VALLEY MUSIC THEATRE 1992

Interesting that they are continuing to pound react, scared and wreckage when Stevie, Got to Give and Won't Tell are far superior songs and sound way better live
The tour is ready for wreckage to get the sirens treatment and disappear.
Perhaps Ed's voice had something to do with set design. Hoping he's fine with some tea and the tour marches on unabated.Post edited by jimjam1982 on0 -

Inside Job and I Got Shit were nice surprises!
You could tell Ed was struggling but the crowd were great and helped him through it. I was also at London 1 in 2018 and I think he sounded worse that night tbh. If it's just a cold then hopefully he'll be right by the weekend for London.London 25/06/10 - Manchester 20/06/12 - Leeds 08/07/14 - London 18/06/18 - London 17/07/18 - London 08/07/220 -
