Now we're talking about rapes and murders in the tour rumor thread?  Time to tune out.
I wish I could tell you that Andy fought the good fight, and the sisters let him be. I wish I could tell you that. But prison is no fairy-tale world.
  • Haha, well played
I take no credit.  Hail Hail Shawshank

Okay, now back to the movie...

So far the 2025 version of the tour rumor thread is my least favorite by a wide margin
    Agreed.
Rumor has it you're a real cold fish.
If Montreal and Toronto were considered for this May, you gotta assume they’re not gonna wait until 2026. No hockey and basketball in September. Gonna maintain Montreal x2, Toronto x2, Detroit x2, Milwaukee or Alpine x2, Kansas City or Denver x2, Gorge x2
Chess, now there's a game of kings.

I just want to be able to buy deodorant at the store without having to call an attendant to unlock it.
So I'm backing out the door, right, and I got the TV, like this; it was a big old thing.  I couldn't see shit.  Suddenly, I hear this voice, "Police, kid, hands in the air."  You know, I was standing there, holding onto that TV.  So, finally the voice says, "You hear what I said, boy?"  And I say, "Yes sir, I sure did, but if I drop this fucking thing you got me on destruction of property too."
Now we're talking about rapes and murders in the tour rumor thread?  Time to tune out.
Hey, anybody come at you yet?  Anybody get to you yet?

May shows would have been announced by now. There is a trend for shows to be announced farther out. TM gets to hold your money and earn interest on it. Are the current shows all sold out?
What you hear isn’t even the half of it. He’s got scams you haven’t even dreamed of. Kickbacks on his kickbacks. There’s a river of dirty money running through this place.

Let me tell you something, my friend.  Hope is a dangerous thing.  Hope can drive a man insane.

Hope is a good thing, maybe the best of things. And no good thing ever dies.

The Gorge would be tempting for me to fly cross country.
If you've come this far, maybe you're willing to come a little further.

Such an announcement would fall on the beginning of the tour.
    So maybe before that?
Most new fish come close to madness the first night. Somebody always breaks down crying… The only question is, who’s it going to be?

    ^ well done.
I'd like to think that the last thing that went through his head, other than that bullet, was to wonder how the hell Andy Dufresne ever got the best of him.

It is an unfortunate phenomenon in our society that, even as crime has generally steadily declined over the past 30 years, large numbers of people have consistently believed that crime rates are increasing or at all-time highs.  There are at least a couple of reasons for this.  One reason is the sensationalistic and disproportionate coverage of crime on local television news and, in New York’s case, by the tabloid newspapers.  Another reason is that it is very easy for politicians to exploit people’s fear of crime to get them to vote.  Scaring suburban voters about purportedly out-of-control crime in Democratic-controlled cities has been a linchpin strategy of Republican politicians for decades.  Even here in L.A., recent mayoral candidate Rick Caruso said in a debate that “everyone in L.A. is scared to leave the house” because of crime. It was an absurd claim-- especially since he had people walking around in L.A. neighborhoods canvassing for him-- but there are a lot of people for whom hearing that from a would-be leader reinforces their belief that crime actually is historically high when it’s actually historically low.

My intent is not to dispute any of this or to point fingers at one political party or another. Rather, I'm making the point that tourists will always be more unsafe than locals -- they don't know the neighborhoods well and have trouble seeing signs of danger.

This idea of "the US is safe, other countries aren't" is bs. Lots of bad things happen to people every day in the US. And just like Americans have been advised to not travel other places, there have been many countries whose citizens have been advised to not travel here.

The topic was started as we were talking about South American rumors and how safe the area is. So...on topic...unlike say movie quotes.

Formal 2023 fall tour announcement was made mid-April, no?
Announcement was April 20th ,  we received our first hint on April 1st .
There were dates leaked here before the hint on April 1st. I can’t recall when exactly, but at least a couple weeks prior.

Alternative Nation, they took some comments from here and over exaggerated his comments and made a post on fb.
Alternative Nation is literally the worst. I was contributing to the NIN reddit with compiling all the known tour leaks and they took my post, edited out all disclaimers I had about the dates being subject to change, etc. and gave the impression it was the entire tour.  And the cherry on top was them using an AI generated image of Trent at the top of the post. They're awful and should be blocked by everyone.

They are aware of this. There will be 10-12 arena shows before the next nhl season kicks off, leading to full band at Ohana, followed by SA
Gonna bump this comment. It looks to be the closest thing to a rumor that we have so far for the fall. Hope they play Detroit.

I'm just incorrigible.  Someone will quote a movie and I will quote stuff for days until someone of authority says knock it off.  Even now, I have to fight every urge.  We didn't even scratch the surface with Wayne's World.  Also sad, because I had a fur baby picture coming at yous guys next.

Do you think an announcement of a fall NA leg might hurt ticket sales for the springs hence keeping a lid on it?
  • Could always try being corrigible, I suppose.
I did.  There was no quote.  So back to it then.

I find PJ to be one of the most irregular and unpredictable touring bands.  Maybe some people are into that and find it endearing.  No doubt, they can and have earned the right to do as they want.  I guess it just gets a little old with, 'maybe they'll do this and maybe they'll do that.'  Endless speculative hope.  It's one thing if there are legit rumors.  We got nothin'.  We have hopes.  We have dreams.  I guess that's enough?
Even me, when they were here in Philly in 2016 at the Ten show and Eddie was remarking on the 10 flag referencing how many shows Bruce played here saying we have to play X amount of shows every year.  I took that as challenge accepted.  Then, they didn't come back until 2024.  I guess one could count Camden in 2022, but that would be half a point in a full point system.
Even The Rolling Stones tour more frequently with longer tours.  Granted, stadiums.  So, no thank you regarding PJ.  Other than Wrigley and Fenway of course
