Really like it. The second half it stronger. I think Mike stands out a lot too, has some great riffs throughout.

Wow!!! This album is fire! I was very sick this morning and I was like a zombie going to buy the album at my local record store. What a pleasure to listen to it at home very loudly with my great headphones and my eyes closed. At the cinema, the sound was good but not loud enough and my neighbor spoke very loudly throughout the screening so.. Healing with a new pearl jam album, what more could you ask for!
Great job guys and thank you!

    Amazing!

My verdict after four full listens, including one Atmos listen through headphones with lyrics: 9/10
Pearl Jam's best since Avocado (and I love Avocado!).
Some of Eddie's best songwriting for sure, exploring very vulnerable and grown-up themes of reconciliation, time, friendship, family, fear, hope, change and, ahem, faith (a lot of references to prayer, faith, "kingdom come," and, thematically, eschatology.)
The playing, especially the rhythm section, is phenomenal.
My only real complaint: The mix. It is incredibly compressed. There is no room for the music to breathe, there is no real space between the instruments, and Ed's voice gets lost in the stew of loudness throughout the album.
I'm hoping the vinyl features a better master.

Oh yeah the new record is out! 10c record variant........... crickets. Not even a delivery date. This should be completely unacceptable, clearly the business model change was not for the fans.

I was thinking that this morning after listening. Really happy with it. Avocado might be the dividing line between younger angrier PJ and mature parental PJ. But DM is definitely on top since then in my mind.

Great album. I was originally concerned about lyrics knowing that the whole idea was to come together and put something out quickly but the lyrics are solid as hell.

I'm 100% satisfied. It's very eclectic. I hear a little Petty, Floyd, Springsteen, and, of course, the punk influences.
Upper Hand = Goosebumps. That one, and a lot of these are going to sound AMAZING live. Mike and Stone continue to SHRED!

Also hearing U2/The Cure, which Stone has already referenced, especially on Won’t Tell. A tinge of E Street Band on Setting Sun. Petty on Wreckage.

Had a good few listens now...can't help but think as much as people fairly debate the production / mix of Dark Matter. This is an incredible record and has actually really captured the 'live' element of the band.

Cannot wait to hear these songs live, especially in a few years after they've had time to jam them out a few times!

    Bravo 👏

    Anyway, best album since Gigaton.

Headphones listen through is spectacular. Instruments sound great and Eddie is spectacular. Like the "feel" of the music.
    It's a hopeless situation...
  • Banger. Very pleased. Great job guys. It's not their "best work ever" but maybe they feel the most proud of this one, and that's awesome.

I liked Running alright at first and it really grew on me as well. Then hearing it within the context of the album I felt like it fit in and sounded even better.

This. I just said to a friend that Running is the best placed rocker on an album since Grievance. Really elevates it overall.

I'm seven listens in so far.... this album hits hard on so many levels.  I was skeptical about Andrew Watt, especially because I don't like the last Stones album, but he was clearly the right choice.

If you pre ordered any version of DM from the Tenclub store you should have received an email with a link to download the album. There's mp3, FLAC, ALAC.

Also, HD Tracks and Qobuz have the HD too.
    Thanks 👍
Enjoy difference. Without it we're all boring!
