Berlin - 10c reserved seat assignment good or bad?

Obstructed view?! I was hoping for a Little more via 10C...0

I saw that picture too when I was checking for representative pictures of the view in Waldbühne and fell for it too for at least 20 minutes before realizing it is WuhlheideZen23 said:Oh. I'm sorry about that. My mistake. How embarrassing. Even though I've been to both. Shame on my head.
Unfortunately I wasn't able to find anything with a better angle / more directed at the stage from those seats.
But what supports the "bad view from the upper seats" - thesis are the following pics, taken from two different concerts where the "choose to sit where you want" - policy was still in place and you can see that the upper seats in those sectors where not those "preferably" chosen...
and even clearer (while it's taken quite sometime before the venue fills completely)

Still can’t believe that they chose those sections as 10c-seats.
Did someone reach out to 10c about this?0 -
I did yesterday, but I don’t expect any reply or reaction, as I think that there is not really anything they can do now that the seats have been assigned.axeljohan said:Still can’t believe that they chose those sections as 10c-seats.
Did someone reach out to 10c about this? But would love others to reach out to 10c too, to maybe raise some awareness of
this issue.Either they made a mistake, by not taking a proper look at the sections and thinking that the sections closest to the stage are the best and just missed the „obstructed view“ for E2 and A1 or it was an informed decision (going into the direction of „more tickets for 10c members, but these will be worse seats“).I still think that they made a mistake. Does not really make sense to put all 10c members there. And I am sure, that many 10c members haven’t realized yet what they will be getting for their money.0 -

Just kidding!
It’s good to get a realistic impression, of what it will be like! I am going to be one of the people sitting in these upper rows (row 17), where it seems that no one would want to sit, if they had a choice. Post edited by LizJ on0 -

So it must be a joke anyway 😉0 -

Maybe / Usually it's better than it looks but I think it was definitely not intended this way. My guess is a mistake / uninformed (however this is possible) decision by Live Nation Germany, that have little experience with reserved seating at Waldbuehne. And... like you say: better to be aware than surprised...Have you seen that now / after one day of all seats priced at 175 EUR there suddenly is a new much cheaper price category available at eventim?!Seats far back and on the side, but still... they were priced at 175 yesterday and now they are 127 EUR. Huge discount after one day. Feels extremely unorganized from the organizer...Post edited by one_stone on0 -
@Sea
Wondering if you can get someone to look into this for us.Seems the 10c sections in Berlin have possibly obstructed views.
Thanks for any help or intel.

Did some research and there’s a Peter Maffay show at the same venue a week later. The seats in A1 and E2 are 99.95 euros whereas the top priced seats for that show are 119.95. Basically the entire rest of the inner bowl and a good chunk of the middle bowl are at that higher price. At the very least we have been supplied an inferior product without the corresponding discount. That’s a kind of shitty thing to see. End of the world? No, but disappointing.PJ: 2013: London (ON); Buffalo; 2014: Cincinnati; 2016: Sunrise, Miami, Toronto 1-2, Wrigley 2; 2018: London (UK) 1, Milan, Padova, Sea 2, Wrigley 1-2, Fenway 1-2; 2021: SHN, Ohana, Ohana Encore 1-2; 2022: LA 1-2, Phx, Oak 1-2, Fresno, Copenhagen, Hyde Park 1-2; Quebec, Ottawa, Hamilton, Toronto; MSG, Camden, Nashville, Louisville, St. Louis, OKC; 2023: St. Paul 1-2, Chicago 1-2; Fort Worth 2; Austin 1-2; 2024: Vancouver 1-2, LV 1-2, LA 1-2, Napa, Barcelona 1-2; Indy; Chicago 1-2; MSG 1-2; Philly 2; Boston 2; Ohana 1-2; 2025: FL 1-2, ATL 1-2, Nash 1-2, Pit 1-2.

Well if the seat location is a mistake (a pretty expensive mistake for the fans) they should make it right somehow!!!0

And a little reminder of what the seating chart for Berlin looked like, when the 10c tickets were offered to us.

Have they just worked on the basis of A and E being closest to the stage and therefore best?LizJ said:And a little reminder of what the seating chart for Berlin looked like, when the 10c tickets were offered to us.
Fairly good chance that the decision may have been made by someone who's never been to the venue. The secret to a happy ending is knowing when to roll the credits0 -

There are plenty of seats still available in better sections...they could still move people with the crapiest 10C seats?0
-
Still trying to figure out how crappy the seats are going to be.
I did a Youtube search and found some videos from a guy that seems to have been at the Pearl Jam show in 2018. Looks like the view from E2, as you can see the hedge and the wall on the left side. I guess it´s higher row number and he is siiting/standing quite in the middle.

Or maybe a discount, as it seems we might not be able to see every band memberJABK said:There are plenty of seats still available in better sections...they could still move people with the crapiest 10C seats?
.
But yes, I think, that there are still enough seats available to move the 10c members. Where there is will, there is a way. But looks like we won´t get any reaction.Up to now only silence from 10c on that matter? @Sea
I think the obstructed view at this venue comes from 2 things: the layout of the Waldbühne itself and also, how the stage is set up. As I have mentioned before, with PJ there is speakers and lighting on each side of the stage.0 -

Amazing find! Was looking at videos too but didn't find that one. Looking at pics of the empty sector I would guess this to be somewhere between row 22 and row 25 in the middle (seat 11/12). Better than I would have feared but still definitely not good - Mike would definitely be out of sight for 90% of the concert. And go 5 or 6 seats to the left and you look only into that wall. For a solution - 2 possibilities: move the affected seats to some of the Platinum seats (best, but might be difficult to reroll seniority on that) or move them to GA standing (easy but will also get ugly because most chose seats out of reason I think)A long silence from 10c might not necessarily be bad. It's weekend and they definitely would need LiveNation Germany (who have already proven to be badly organized) to clarify/solve this. Plus they surely have a Ton of questions coming in as they just announced a World Tour.0 -
I think the odds of getting any solution are slim ar best.one_stone said:LizJ said:Still trying to figure out how crappy the seats are going to be.

That said, I think the simplest would be to offer a refund by a certain deadline. As you say, moving people will be tricky to do fairly. and seat people generally don’t want to stand (not to mention, the standing section might be full). A discount isn’t really a solution - let’s say they give back 20 or 30 euros. Sure that pays for some drinks, but with all the costs of travel for the experience of the show, if it’s a bad seat a little rebate wouldn’t save the event. At a minimum a statement or clarification would be in order. Not all the seats in those sections msg be bad.PJ: 2013: London (ON); Buffalo; 2014: Cincinnati; 2016: Sunrise, Miami, Toronto 1-2, Wrigley 2; 2018: London (UK) 1, Milan, Padova, Sea 2, Wrigley 1-2, Fenway 1-2; 2021: SHN, Ohana, Ohana Encore 1-2; 2022: LA 1-2, Phx, Oak 1-2, Fresno, Copenhagen, Hyde Park 1-2; Quebec, Ottawa, Hamilton, Toronto; MSG, Camden, Nashville, Louisville, St. Louis, OKC; 2023: St. Paul 1-2, Chicago 1-2; Fort Worth 2; Austin 1-2; 2024: Vancouver 1-2, LV 1-2, LA 1-2, Napa, Barcelona 1-2; Indy; Chicago 1-2; MSG 1-2; Philly 2; Boston 2; Ohana 1-2; 2025: FL 1-2, ATL 1-2, Nash 1-2, Pit 1-2.
