So if the folks winning all their pics was greater than 0.1% of the fan club, like more than 500 people did that, isnt the simplest answer that it wasnt actually 50% for most of the shows they selected but much higher?

I put in for GA/P1 only. Removed the second MSG because I wasn't eligible, although it would have actually made it worse if they had drawn that first. I actually think my estimates are high here of my expected result.

I know. I was just kidding. If you get a Verified Fan code you can try for a ticket at the public sale on Friday. Or you can wait for F2F to open and spend every waking minute of your day refreshing like a lunatic like many of us did last year.

I see. So we were expected to put in a request for tenclub tickets AND this other sale? Was there a chance you could “win” both? Or was the Friday sale just a “just in case” sort of thing? Like if you didn’t get tenclub tickets, then you’re eligible for the Friday sale, but if you did get tenclub tickets, you just wouldn’t partake in the Friday sale?

I’m shit out of luck either way. Just curious as to how awful this system is versus how much blame I deserve myself for not looking deeply enough into this.

People put in for both just in case. Even if you get ten club tickets, you can still "win" a code and get more tickets in the public sale. It is a nightmare dealing with the public sale. F2F is less stressful in my opinion. Many people who signed up for VF and got tickets through Ten Club are less likely to participate in the public sale anyway. But they can if they want - if they got a code.

No, because there's zero chance odds for MSG and Philly were much higher than 50%. The simplest answer is TM botched something as they've done in the past

Or maybe people didn't pick all tickets types like the instructions clearly stated to do. Or maybe their card declined and they dont realize it. Or they only picked TM presale and not 10c presale and wont admit it hoping if they scream loud enough the 10c is forced to rerun the lotto like last year's debacle. Or maybe some folks just had bad luck this round and wont accept that life happens and we are all just blessed that our band somehow survived this long.

Like many of you, I've been in TC for a long time (almost 30 years) and NEVER didn't get tix through the lottery. Might not have always been the best seats or my first choice of shows, but always got something. This time, I put in only for tix for Los Angeles night 1 because I couldn't afford to put in for multiple nights and risk having to buy them all. And I got denied. Is this how PJ rewards their liong-time fans? Funny how PJ went from "fans > Ticketmaster" to "Ticketmaster > fans" :-|

Would just like to have my rejection email. Nothing at all on my Ticketmaster page. I got my initial email that I entered the lottery, but nothing about rejection and of course no tickets.

None of that has anything to do with the fact that the odds of winning tickets for shows like MSG and Philly were nowhere close to 50%.

Is this a legitimate complaint? Because I would see the fact that this is the absolute first time you've been denied as an overall win. Most people don't do nearly that well. I get like half the shows I put in for if that.

Well, I'm not greedy. I typically only go to a show or two per tour to let other fans see shows. In the past, TC members didn't seem to get shut out from ALL requests. Maybe it should be renamed, "Forget the Fans, We Gotta Pay the Mortgage 2024".

It is possible that the Reserved P1 in option one refers to the seats on the floor, while the Reserved P1 in option two refers to the sections in the lower bowl of the arena (with Reserved P2 being the sections in the upper bowl of the arena).

I speculated earlier that there were no doubt people who did not choose all three options and that this would result in better chances of those people being shut out, and this thread is proving that assertion right. People may have had different reasons for not checking all three boxes. Some preferred getting no ticket to getting a ticket in P2. Some did not read the instructions. Some did not understand the instructions. Some did not believe the instructions. Whatever the reason, the result is that some people who would have gotten tickets if they had selected all three options ended up not getting tickets.

Reasonable response. I agree that the instructions were confusing or perhaps illogical, but I followed them anyway. My 2 shows had only the first 2 options. I chose both options and got Reserved for both shows.

Just to be clear, because you're using the word "agree"-- I don't think the instructions were confusing or illogical. I thought they were clear, and so did both of the other club members I talked to before submitting my requests.

Do these two people have the same chance of getting drawn for P1 seats? Yes/no and why?

No, they don't have the same odds. Person A was only in one drawing. Person B was in two drawings. The first drawing filled out GA and the floor seats. The second drawing filled out the lower bowl seats.

They were different. One included the possibility of getting GA instead of P1, the other didn't. That doesn't suggest that "P1 Reserved" means two different things. They could have said P1 Reserved Floor if that was the case.

But I'm suggesting that they may have been different because they were making a distinction between P1 seats on the floor behind GA and P1 seats in the lower bowl above the floor. I would agree that, if they were making this distinction, it was at best implied.

No. The conversation with the two friends was about the fact that the instructions were telling us that we should select all three options to have the best chance of getting tickets. Full stop. There was no discussion of differentiation between GA and GA/P1, or floor seats versus lower bowl. That is a separate supposition that I made in response to this thread.
