Let's assume that the original plan was actually for them to play two nights at the O2 Arena. According to reliable sources. What is the reason for the change of plans? To have another day off and at the same time work off more people with just one concert? To have another concert open air instead of playing two arena evenings?
Perhaps they realised they could sell just as many, or more tickets than o2 arena, and only have to play 1 night. Or didn't want to do back to back gigs just before doing back to back in Berlin
That's exactly what I've thought many times. Most likely.

Oh, please don't. Please not a second soccer stadium show. A second Manchester show instead.
whats wrong with FOOTBALL (not soccer please!) concerts? Milan 2014 was out of this world and it was a football stadium , EPIC!
This is not about right or wrong. This is simply about personal feelings. Just as you find Milan 2014 "out of this world" and "epic", I find such a view - especially in daylight - a little bleak. Dismembered. Sprawling. Full of gaps. Compared to a more intimate concert hall. For illustrative purposes, here's your Milan and my Ziggo Dome.

Personally speaking, I'm hoping against hope that it's because they've been tapped to play Glastonbury as headliners on either the Friday or Sunday, seeing as that's where I'll be that weekend ;)
  • I'm a massive spurs fan but even I would prefer a second Manchester than a second Tottenham show.  Never been impressed with sound at outdoor shows and the arena always seems better than stadium to me for concerts

Yes, this is what I am hoping for although it could end up like Leeds 2014 where we all expected a second date and never got it.

Yeah my feeling for a 2nd show in london after the 2nd Auckland show was just announced just became stronger. If the 1st one sells out a 2nd one will be announced for sure

If there were a 2nd UK show my head says it's likely to be a 2nd Manchester show but my heart would LOVE another fan club show à la

I'm expecting ticket sales to be slow. What with the price,  Green Day playing the same night, and it being Glastonbury weekend.

Yeah I'm feeling like any second show will likely be Manchester ss there's a better chance of selling it out.

I don't see another London show being announced...because this one is a Saturday.

When Bruce Springsteen announced a Wembley gig last year, they announced Thurs first in order to sell it out, and then the Saturday date (more people able to go on Saturday, with it being a weekend).

Maybe they'd do Friday? But I agree I don't see this selling out as quick as the other dates (could be wrong)

I would personally much prefer another Manchester show as it's an indoor arena, but that would still be a week day (Mon or Weds or Thu I'm guessing) so not as convenient for me.

whats wrong with add 2nd shows for the day before the 1st show? seems everyone to think its so unreal. its not
  • I'm a Tottenham Hotspur season ticket holder so not being able to go to this gig is killing me. When they opened the stadium and started doing gigs all I wanted to see was PJ playing here. It's happening now and i'm at Glastonbury... I know I know poor me going to the best festival in the world. I'll get over it by having the best week, BUT STILL. So bloody annoying.

Just selfishly hoping for a Friday Glastonbury slot!

Looks like Front Standing has already sold out...but there's also already a Front Standing resale ticket available for 183 quid.

    Seated ranges from 125 - 157 pounds.

So rear standing is coming out now as more expensive than the TC lottery front standing tickets.........

Once again - glad to be in the club

I joined both queues to check out demand (trying to be on top of a second show being added) and the virtual queue was a good few thousand more for Manchester than london
  • Same, keep refreshing hoping a second date for either one is added

  • Manchester still has standing available, which I'm very surprised about. My optimism of second dates is fading...
