    €28!!

God, I remember when I was in Italy in 2001 and the Euro and the dollar were almost 1 for 1. This country has really gone to shit financially the last 7 years.

I can't wait to be China's slaves..."Dance U.S.!!! Dance!!! We own your asses!"

a weak currency is not all bad news, it boosts exports, which helps the trade balance.

Does it say anywhere how big the book is? Not pages but dimensions. Because that Art of Modern Rock book was bigger than I thought it was from seeing it online. That book was 13.2 x 11.4 x 1.7 inches (according to Amazon). Do you think this is similar?

Anyone have an answer to the question of the DIMENSIONS of this book? I only want to pay art book prices if it is actually sized like an art book... The size of the 5X1 book was the main reason I did not purchase it.

Thank you Alan Greenspan...Why don't you let me wallow around in my self-pity and simplicity for a little longer?

Also, you’re assuming the U.S. manufactures anything for export anymore. I think this book is a perfect example. Have it printed with lead-based paint in China or some place for dirt cheap and then have our children lick the pages clean. Yum. (Sorry, I'm bitter today for some reason. My wife is going to love it when I get home.)

that makes me think it WILL be available in shops, but they'd rather we buy directly from them (more profit) so they don't want to tell us.

Yeah but how much will it be to buy in Europe if it sells in shops??

IT works out around €60 including shipping.

Could they really charge that in a shop??

I don't know whether to wait or buy it now.

Its my xmas pressie from Santy

I've ordered the special edition and just thoughtb fuck it. The amount I spent on 2003 boots collecting them when i could have spent a tenth buying from ten club was a hrash lesson learnt.

would be so cool though if the band would sign it as a secret extra gift ...hint hint hint.....surely thats not too much to ask

Ten Club did confirm in an email to me though that they are exactly the same product from the Ames site and the ten club site.

ok, I'm talking out of my arse (no comments Helen ;))

Turns out I didn't ask Ames about the retail issue (really thought I did, must have changed my mind whilst writing).
so obviously they couldn't ignore something I didn't ask could they?
    sorry, I'm an idiot.

got an email from them since and they said they have no plan to release in shops at this time (and if they don't in the US there's sod all chances it get released in Europe...)

I ordered the Ltd. Edition. I am a little annoyed though that they charged my credit card back on November 4th instead of waiting until the book actually ships next month.
