    exactly my thoughts

    i agree.

in addition, as art, design and architecture books tend to be on the pricy side, the asking price for the $50 version is actually a deal and the $200 version is not out of line...heck this isn't your typical tour program at $20.

    absolutely!
anyone who possibly thinks the price for either of these books is too *much*...really isn't into art books. i don't think i've ever spent under $50 for a hardcover art book, i've even spent MORE for a softcover book at times! such books are pricey by nature, simply b/c of their production costs. $50 is a GREAt deal...and even the limited edition.....32 extra pages......mylar overlays....debossed slipcase...pricey, pricey, pricey to produce! add in the signatures and limited run, tis a great deal. that said, i don't need all those *extras* as tempting as they all sound...so the $50 version is simply perfect for me. :)

edit - obviously, those extras ARE too temptiing for me, i caved and bought the SE verison. :o eh well, i am sure to love it!
    Stay with me...

  • If anyone has St.Louis 98, St.Louis 2000 those are the only posters I couldn't get. I've been to 18 shows and just need two posters if anyone could help that would be great.

If anyone who went to Munich show this summer did you stay the next night to see The Who?

I was at the Munich show ... did not see The Who, but, did meet Joey Kramer of Aerosmith in the hotel bar of our hotel ... Aerosmith was playing around that time as well.

As if I wasn't in debt enough! Just got married and will be paying for the wedding for the next 20 years, my Heat Pump just broke and needs to be replaced, and now they cut my hours back at work.

But did I think twice about buying the limited edition?

    Nooooooooooooooo.

    €28!!

God, I remember when I was in Italy in 2001 and the Euro and the dollar were almost 1 for 1. This country has really gone to shit financially the last 7 years.

a weak currency is not all bad news, it boosts exports, which helps the trade balance.

Does it say anywhere how big the book is? Not pages but dimensions. Because that Art of Modern Rock book was bigger than I thought it was from seeing it online. That book was 13.2 x 11.4 x 1.7 inches (according to Amazon). Do you think this is similar?

Anyone have an answer to the question of the DIMENSIONS of this book? I only want to pay art book prices if it is actually sized like an art book... The size of the 5X1 book was the main reason I did not purchase it.

Thank you Alan Greenspan...Why don't you let me wallow around in my self-pity and simplicity for a little longer?

Also, you’re assuming the U.S. manufactures anything for export anymore. I think this book is a perfect example. Have it printed with lead-based paint in China or some place for dirt cheap and then have our children lick the pages clean. Yum. (Sorry, I'm bitter today for some reason. My wife is going to love it when I get home.)
