Yeah, I was seriously considering making the flight to Austin for N2, but that money thing always gets in the way.

Killer set night 1! I actually looked a flights yesterday.. I so wanted to see them on this tour. Indy was my only legit shot. I hope this show 100% gets rescheduled and not canceled.

But an upgrade compared to the Baltimore situation.

It might be. But it’s not rescheduled until it’s rescheduled, it could very well still end up with Baltimore

That would be such a continued bummer. And I also feel sad when I watch these amazing sets unfold.

Oh yeah, it’s been over a week and I’m still heartbroken. This was gonna be the highlight of what has been a very tough year for me and now it’s just one more thing that went wrong. Out a whole bunch of money too. And every time I see setlists or clips from Texas is just salt in the wound. I really hope they reschedule, I believe they intend to. But stuff happens and nothing is guaranteed.

Way to go @BF25394. <3 I think weather-wise May would be just as fine as September.
You must not have been there in 2010.  Fall weather in Indiana is much better than Spring.

By now everyone thinks what they think about Covid and nobody is going to change anybody’s mind.

I support this thread being about when Ruoff will occur.
Everyone is not hardcore pro-vaccine or anti-vaccine. Some people are on the fence, often because they don't have good information. They don't lack for good information because they're stupid or venal. People are busy, and it can be hard to keep up. It can be tempting to throw one's hands up and say, "I don't know what to believe, so I won't believe anything."  But if you give open-minded people who are on the fence good information, without making it about politics or personal attacks, maybe it will get them off the fence. That's why I wrote what I wrote.

The thread is about the postponement of the show. Naturally, people started discussing why the show was postponed. That led to people offering their thoughts on COVID. There's probably not much more to be said about it at this point anyway.
I gather speed from you fucking with me.

My birthday is in May, so I am always hoping for May shows I can attend ;) And no, I was not in Indiana in 2010, I still lived in Germany back then. I assume Indiana Mays are a bit like the mays in Michigan, so I get what you're saying. Let's just hope the show gets rescheduled and not eventually cancelled.

By late May, we should be ok, but yeah... it sucks here about 7 months out of the year, so it's a small window.

I’d love it personally if it was the last weekend in May and I could go see the Indy 500 as well.
  • Yes I am guilty of steering this thread into Covid territory. Since Matt had it it kind of applies? lol. I'm not an idiot or crazy if my opinion doesn't align with yours. I appreciate the detailed and thoughtful responses and I don't wish Covid on anyone, even the one's that make personal attacks against someone they don't know. My experiences have influenced my opinion which changed from 2020 to where we are now.

Now. How about that rescheduled date?

Don't worry, you didn't steer it there. On the first page, someone made a skeptical reference to "the COVID sniffles," and there was a lot of back-and-forth from there. I'm glad you found my response thoughtful and I hope you realize that it didn't contain any personal attacks. I was just trying to offer some additional information and context about the things you wrote.

  • Oh come the fuck on. They played “who you are” last night. My favorite Pearl Jam song. Thank god this tour is over. lol! Now get to rescheduling!

You didn't make a personal attack. I think I was speed reading and saw someone else's response and took it the wrong way. Although, whenever Covid or anything remotely political is discussed online, personal attacks seem to follow. Thanks fellow Jammer. May your future setlist contain at least one white whale :)

uh...you said there were covid vaccine mandates...there weren't. Don't confuse someone calling out your BS for a personal attack.

This is not a personal attack.
