Is anyone surprised how late in the day they made the announcement?
Not really. Disappointing, but it tells me whoever was sick was literally giving it their all and was hoping to make it.
You're not as jaded as I am. I think that's a business decision.
If they legit knew yesterday and didn't say anything I'd be so fxcking pissed

Sacramento and Vegas are still waiting for rescheduled 2022 dates. They were completely ignored for this 2023 mini tour.

So I wouldn't consider it a given that Indy will get a 2024 date. Who knows how far along in the supposed 2024 tour planning process they are. Who knows the logistics involved with that.

Even assuming Indy gets a 2024 date, all it takes is one band member getting sick and it could get postponed again. Or bad weather could cause it to get postponed.

I almost want to book multiple shows next year just as an insurance policy in case one of them gets postponed.

I'm wallowing in the moment, but... between the merch ridiculousness, show postponements, the struggle to get tickets, the shorter setlists, I wonder if it's worth the trouble anymore.

Sacramento and Vegas were canceled. They aren't getting rescheduled.  There is a difference between canceled and postponed.
All I've heard all night is how it's been postponed and they’re gonna come back and do the best show. Acting like this is different to all the shows people missed out on last summer. Postponed or cancelled makes no difference to your emotions when you at the venue and they pull the plug
When’s the last time they actually made up a cancelled show?? Raleigh is still waiting from 2016

My bad, I thought they were postponed. So maybe there is hope for Indy. Hopefully they don't change it to cancelled later.
This is the only reason I’m not as devastated as the Vegas cancellation, this one is “postponed” for now

After the last few years, the fact that they said “postponed” makes me believe they already have a loose roadmap planned for 2024, and that Indy fits into it perfectly.  People in other parts of the Rust belt should feel great about that wording.

The skeptic in me says they used the words “postponed” because it buys them time.  I don’t think they had the ability to confirm or at least start working on a 24 date in Indy based on a few hours of a person being sick (on a Sunday no less).

Given the amount of shows they’ve had to miss and didn’t get them rescheduled…I’m not that optimistic.  I’ll take the refund when they finally come clean.

I think they know they’ll be out this way next year and that is why they can say it was postponed
    Noblesville 5.7.2010. Lexington 4.26.2016. Nashville 9.16.2022. St Louis 9.18.2022.

  • My wife and I made the best of it and went to Kumas Corner and some antique mall. Met some other fans in our hotel parking lot. Man some people drove 10+ hours, there’s that guy from Columbia?!  Fuckin gutted, hope they really make an effort to honor the tickets.

  • I’ll take the optimism route:
-2 shows next year at deer creek (as apparently was a possibility this year).

I wish I could be more optimistic but given their track record in recent years doesn’t make me feel too good about it being rescheduled. I’m more bummed because it was my first time in the pit.

A lot of people would be pissed off either way. The reason they are saying "postponed" is because they are hoping to reschedule. If it turns out that they are unable to reschedule, then the show will be cancelled and refunds will be issued.

It is very unfortunate that many fans who traveled to this show may lose money on flights, hotel, etc. But the band also loses money when they postpone a show, and they lose a lot of money when they cancel a show. I guarantee you that this decision was not made lightly and was announced as soon as it was decided.
I gather speed from you fucking with me.
  • A lot of money was still made today.

NGL, that happened. We live 15 minutes away so scooped up most of the Indy specific stuff (weather was beautiful so not a bad day to crash a few beers standing in line watching football). The woman who rang us up said her record tx of the day was $1900!

Was close to halfway to Indy when my sister called me to tell me the show was postponed. Thank you for that..she saved me about 4 hours of driving. I hope whoever is sick gets better. And I hope we get a better poster for the makeup show. Sign up Emek or Joey Feldman for the makeup show please!

    Please elaborate. Now I'm intrigued.🙌😂

No just got 1s, flying my flag outside right now in honor. They opened second merch stand (from stuff inside) around 3 or 3:30 (we left home at halftime of colts game).

  • Keep in mind I’m a few beers in, merch opened at 12 and postponement came around 2. I feel like maybe this postponement could have come earlier. Like I said I fell like a jerk thinking it. We don’t know the situation though. I personal lost out on about $120 dollars today and that’s a drop in the bucket compared to others.

I think that’s the rub for a lot of folks. Not the cancellation. Shit happens. But waiting that long to do it. No one knows the behind the scenes of it though so I won’t pass judgement like I did initially

I'd give them the benefit of the doubt. Sometimes you wake up feeling like shit, and hope you feel better as the day goes on. Often times you do. Or sometimes you get worse.
