I used to hate on Simmons, but don't care much one way or the other these days... one thing's for sure, he couldn't have been much less prepared for when he had Jeff & Eddie on his podcast 4 years ago when Gigaton was coming out.
It felt like the only homework he did in advance was to watch PJ20 which was a decade old by that point.

I remember that ep. Three things stand out:
1) Bill told the guys he liked the Gigaton material and Ed asked him why he sounded surprised by that.
2) At one stage Bill disappeared and Ed and Jeff carried on without him. That was pure gold.
3) It was during the part of Covid when there was no clarity at all on when or even if concerts would ever be back.
IIRC, he referred to the new album as Gigatron, a mistake anyone could have made but a rookie mistake all the same.
I think I recall him bragging about having been at the Mansfield Experiment, but then asking Eddie why it was such a special show, a question Eddie didn't really know how to answer.. was Simmons there or not? It was weird.
I also recall him asking what was up w/ so many different drummers which led to me thinking PJ20 was the only homework he did in advance.MC had been with the band for 22 years by that point. It was as if Simmons stopped paying attention 15 years prior.

timing feels off in general because it says 11ET on this for "something" but 1ET seems standard, but stations are teasing 10ET.

I love radio, I really do, but I always get a kick out of when they tease and promote either what already is or what will be publicly available information as some kind of exclusive. In the old days, we relied on radio stations to communicate a lot of this info. (Although, in fairness, with the ubiquity of the internet, a lot of people also underestimate just how many people out there don't actually spend much time on it, or stay only in narrow corners of it, and would probably not come across this information until they heard it on the radio.)
To quote the 10C from Newsletter #8: "Please understand we have a lot of members and it is very hard to please everybody. If you are one of those unhappy people...please call 1-900-IDN-TCAR."

Do we still think all 4 tour legs will be announced or just US 1?
If the Baltimore tease is about PJ, then it seems likely that all legs will be announced, since Baltimore is rumored for September
Pretty sure it sounds like a world tour announcement all at once. Too many signs pointing in that direction. Probably be in our inbox overnight when the Europe/Australia announcements roll out.

Didn't Eddie do a charity solo event a few years back at Harvard Westlake (or was that RHCP)? That is Bill's son's school.
