Just booked everything but flights and a few activities for an 18 day trip in New Zealand and Australia.  Everything refundable though except a couple activities.  May try skydiving for the first time in Queenstown, NZ.   See one show in Auckland, Sydney, and Melbourne.
Queenstown is just about the most perfect place on Earth.  You're gonna love it.

Can I ask why you’re skipping Gold Coast? Not just the show, but the area I’m assuming.
I don't plan on seeing both shows in these cities.   I would have just done Auckland and Melbourne, but I'm now paranoid that the band can't stay healthy for a tour, so I included the 1st Sydney show as well.   An 18 day trip is pushing it regarding work (especially since doing Euro shows in June & July), and I'm trying to fit in a lot of golf.  So the plan is:

    Auckland - 1 Night - PJ show
    North Island - 3 Nights - Golf
South Island - 2 Nights - Queenstown area (Milford sound, jet boat, skydiving, other)
    Sydney - 3 Nights - PJ show/golf/tourism
    Melbourne - 7 nights - 4 rounds of golf/PJ shows/3 work days/tourism

Gonna be a blast.  Hoping more to add to the tail end of it as Thanksgiving week follows so will be quiet anyway.  Maybe Tasmania.

Hoping to come back at some point and do a proper NZ / Aus vacation without all the work and golf.  I know trying to fit in a lot of golf will lessen the sightseeing (like the reef, outback) but my hiking is golf on the ocean.

I’m in New Orleans for the Saints game. Holding out a very small glimpse of hope for Jazzfest. 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻
  • Oh, yes please. Pearl Jam at Jazzfest would be badass!

If you can swing an overnight cruise on Doubtful Sound do it-you won't regret it.

Honestly it's the worst place to see a band that's popular.. Acura Stage is a cluster fk... it's so packed all the way to the racetrack... and I LOVE JAZZFEST but it's the smaller stages and local or lesser known acts that make it great.

Sure it does - each extra month they can milk out of the fanclub members who only sign up at tour time, the better for their business model.

Pearl Jam, Ed Sheeran, Stevie Nicks and Maná as headliners. If this article is correct.

Thanks for the tip.  I will consider that.  Maybe due that and Milford Sound and drop the skydiving.

Doubtful.  I don't think there is enough chatter for a PJ announcement tomorrow.  I hope so but doubt it.

Fingers crossed, but I would think there would be more chatter from those in the know.  Maybe with Dimitris posting about venues the announcement is closer than February.
