Surprised by the lack of hotel options in downtown Portland. Just booked the Crowne Plaza which looks to be a 10 minute walk from the venue. Should fill up pretty quickly once announced.
Yeah I live in the area and still probably will get a room, there will be some adult beverages consumed and 30mins in Uber back home at midnight doesn't feel like much fun ...

Do you know what it's like to fall in the mud and get kicked... in the head... with an iron boot? Of course you don't, no one does. It never happens. Sorry, Ted, that's a dumb question... skip that.

Is an Uber ride from the airport to the downtown core reasonable?

That sounds like a good time and part of me wants to do it that way, but I'm likely going to bring my 8 year old (his first show!) which will be getting STARTED after his usual bedtime so it'll be a sober night and trip straight back to the house for us. At least the rumored date is a Friday. I'm sure the high of experiencing a Pearl Jam show through his eyes and ears will be all I need.
Dead and Co/PJ in sane city at same time. Amazing world we live in even if “last tour” was a little misleading. I never did get to hear touch of grey.

Just hoping we don’t get 5-7 new songs on a 24 song set. 3 new songs is fine. Some of the 2022 shows were so gigaton and ten heavy. 2023 was perfect
I am in the opposite camp. Saw three Gigaton shows between 2022 and 2023, but only got to hear five tracks combined from the album. That was disappointing. Love the old stuff, but I do still want to hear the new stuff.
I was really looking forward to them when the album came out. And I ended up getting all of them except for Comes Then Goes. But I got a lot of them repeatedly (8 times for DOTC). So it got to the point where I dreaded it every time they'd start to play one, especially with the shorter setlists. That just meant one less chance for a rarity.
I hear you. Repeats were an issue. By luck of the draw I got Who Ever Said, DOTC and Seven O'clock all more than once.
Still hoping to hear Retrograde in particular and some of the others.
I only made it to 1 Gigaton show (woulda been 2 but Indy…) and those are the exact 3 I got. I hope QE and Retrograde survive to the next tour because those were the 2 I was really hoping for.
I'm probably the odd man out on QE...it just doesn't do much for me. Retrograde is great.

Having missed the entire Gigaton touring cycle, I'm hoping to still get 3-4 from that album in addition to the latest stuff. At this point they have so much material and only so many hours they can play each night. I may only get to the Portland show this tour and I'll take what I can get. No matter what gets played and no matter how happy I am with the show, there will definitely be a large number of songs that DIDN'T get played that I wish I could have heard. I'm just gonna try to not get too hung up on that.

Hopefully Retrograde gets played pretty regularly this year. The second half of the song is unlike any other song in the catalog and sounds incredible live. I’ve heard it once and would like to hear it a few more times.
I think it could actually be a show closer too. The ending of that song is such a high, it’s a good place to walk off.

Have got Buckle Up twice, and it's a buzz-killer. It just saps the energy out of the room.
Got it in Nashville - it was the second song right after Nothingman. I enjoyed it a lot. But I've always liked the song, so maybe that's the difference. I think we ended up with 4 Gigaton songs that night, Buckle Up, Who Ever Said, DoTC, and River Cross. Personally, I'm not a fan of Rivercross on the album at all, glad it's the last song so I don't feel bad skipping it, lol. And live, it was ok. I think the whole "hold up your phone" thing made it a cool live experience, but I still tend to skip it when listening to the bootleg.

Anyone know if Park MGM is doing the deal for edc again? I know I got a great deal for the canceled show in 22 cause it fell on the same weekend
Not sure if it was the EDC deal specifically, but Park MGM was by far the best deal I found for the May dates
