If you haven’t booked your Vegas hotels and flights, you gotta book now

On top of PJ and EDC… Dead and Company just announced Sphere shows the same days/weekend
    Just booked Wed-Sun at Excalibur.
What an incredible weekend of music if I could do PJ/Dead/PJ Thur/Fri/Sat.
    My braincells may never recover….

Surprised by the lack of hotel options in downtown Portland. Just booked the Crowne Plaza which looks to be a 10 minute walk from the venue. Should fill up pretty quickly once announced.

She was on the voice many years ago. Her fan base is kids..teens, young 20s. I hadn't either but I've watched stuff with my daughter (she is 17) and she watched pj20 so it's been a bonding thing. Melanie is young and writes life experiences and is very into the concept of an album so I respect her for her art and am glad my daughter knows what it's like to connect to music on that level..and let me tell you that woman has as many  cuss words than Ed lol That fan base is also merch crazy..every color vinyl you can imagine and my daughter wants them all

I am in the opposite camp. Saw three Gigaton shows between 2022 and 2023, but only got to hear five tracks combined from the album. That was disappointing. Love the old stuff, but I do still want to hear the new stuff.

I was really looking forward to them when the album came out. And I ended up getting all of them except for Comes Then Goes. But I got a lot of them repeatedly (8 times for DOTC). So it got to the point where I dreaded it every time they'd start to play one, especially with the shorter setlists. That just meant one less chance for a rarity.

I hear you. Repeats were an issue. By luck of the draw I got Who Ever Said, DOTC and Seven O'clock all more than once.

Still hoping to hear Retrograde in particular and some of the others.

Now that we know the title, I am comfortable sharing that the proposed title I was told by Josh K. in June was Eclipse. He also mentioned that it was also discussed that they could do a show in or near Niagara Falls or Buffalo in connection with the solar eclipse on April 8, as that area is in the path of totality. He had the album artwork he suggested in connection with the title on his phone.

Oddly enough, I was on my way to an astronomy lecture when I ran into him. We talked a bit about astronomy. It turns out they went in a different astronomical direction.
This is would have been cool. Also understand now why you were vague.
I was vague for two reasons. First, I didn't know that this was actually going to be the title and, whatever the title ended up being, it's the band's news to announce when they are ready to do so. Second, I didn't want people to book flights and hotel rooms on the basis of a very speculative comment. Maybe that's three reasons?
I gather speed from you fucking with me.

I feel exactly opposite to this. Give me at least eight new songs in a 24-song set.

Rarity is a matter of perspective. These songs do not stay in the set list for long because the audience is so resistant to anything new, so they may not seem rare when they're being played almost every night on the Gigaton tour, but they will become rare when they disappear from the live set once the next album comes around. Think of the songs from Pearl JamBackspacer and Lightning Bolt that were played on those tours and never heard again. If you were seeing a bunch of shows in 2006 and thinking, when they played, say, "Marker in the Sand"-- "this again?"-- it might have helped to remember that, in 2024, there will be people praying for them to play that now-rarity.
I gather speed from you fucking with me.

I only made it to 1 Gigaton show (woulda been 2 but Indy…) and those are the exact 3 I got. I hope QE and Retrograde survive to the next tour because those were the 2 I was really hoping for.
