I stayed in Greenwich for the 2018 O2 show.  Would do that again.
    Any particular hotel recommendations?
I think it was Premier Inn Greenwich.  Not fancy at all but had the basics.  And it was a bus to and from the show which didn’t have a crowd like the tube.

I believe the capacity at Gorge is around 25,000, so not much more than arena. It is also a bit out of the way.
Real mess of an entry, too.
Beautiful venue, but I'd be reluctant to go again because of the nightmare of parking and getting in.
Climate pledge holds 18,100 and the gorge holds 27,500. They’ve played there before and according to the stage banter, had camping.

The Gorge is the greatest place I’ve ever been and of course that’s a result of it being out of the way. It’s in the high desert and in addition to being beautiful, the sound is damn good. There really aren’t many natural amphitheaters in this universe and that one is without a doubt my favorite. Getting in can be tricky but it’s welllllllll worth it. I went to two nights of shows there and one night was smooth while the other was a bottleneck because the doors were to open at like 5:30 and they just opened them at like 6:15.

If I were to do it again, I'd camp at the nearby private campground that has busses back and forth.

My daughter and I arrived around 2pm, spent the next 4hrs! in our car, in line to get into the Campground (police searches that honestly didn't do jack), rushed to set up camp, then waited another hour to get into the venue. It was brutal.

IMO they don’t care where the customers live.  Their objective is to make as much money as possible from the tour as a whole.  That is the only thing explaining the announcement and sales order.
    100%.

They're not in the customer service business. They're in the Pearl Jam business.

Skipping Europe this time around, although Manchester and Barcelona are very appealing…just can’t make it work with my job AND Seattle. Gonna use the extra time for the east coast in the fall. If there was a spicy date or two in Europe I would completely reconsider.

I’ve been assuming that the Seattle shows would be in Climate Pledge. But maybe there is enough demand for a two night stand at Lumen? The shows at T-Mobile were completely sold out, but that tour was also limited in terms of dates.

A show at the Gorge on a late summer weekend evening with a couple of openers would be a great day. But that’s not happening this tour.
Lumen is like 70k capacity, can't see that happening

4 years ago today we got our first new Album teaser for a subsequent March tour announcement.

I don’t expect a tour announcement until February, but I will be sort of shocked if we don’t get at least some sort of hint regarding a new album today

Think so. Regardless I booked (refundable) tickets for Auckland. Quite a few things have pointed to announcements on my birthday so that'd be nice but given that's a few weeks away I'd be happy either sooner rather than later.

Do you know what it's like to fall in the mud and get kicked... in the head... with an iron boot? Of course you don't, no one does. It never happens. Sorry, Ted, that's a dumb question... skip that.

The first real cancellation of a tour that seemed crazy for about 24 hours until everyone else did the same.

I take personal blame for 2020. I booked PJ in imola and Nashville, Rolling Stones, Shaky Knees, Willie Nelson, Rage Against the Machine, Sea Hear Now. Proclaimed that 2020 was gonna be the best ever. Cut to the following week...

We had tix for the Toronto kickoff. Waiting it out, seeing if it was going to happen, hoping we'd be on a plane on St. Patrick's Day, knowing that there was no possible way, yet being gutted when the cancellation came.

This is what it will be.  Everyone is so upset that it is Feb 13 and are trying to will it out of existence.  People with connections hinted at this date.  They haven’t been wrong with the dates so far, just saying…

I will happily wait until 2/13 and then snag my Fenway tix soon after!!! Hahah

Still hopeful of the U.K./Euro announcement before then. It is do—able to announce everything all at once and do a single ticket sale, but the vast majority of bands split their world tour announcements by leg.
