I think the sphere is wishful thinking, but beyond the visuals it is supposed to sound great that alone could be enough for the band (or any band) to play there.
I just saw U2 there, and any band would benefit from playing there. Just using the screen for video of the band, like u2 did for a few songs, is great. I'm guessing the venue is creating some stock scenes for bands to use. There are only the crazy visuals on a dozen or so songs.
Word is Missoula is the 23rd. Any reason to think it might be the 22nd of august?
That is the rumor, but if they play WaGriz (which in my opinion is the most likely) Tyler Childers plays there on the 24th. There seems to be a thought that the stadium can't do that type of turnaround. Someone suggested the Adams Center (also on University grounds), but it is a small venue around 7000, and they sold out WaGriz in 2018. So, the consensus is it could me anytime between 8/15-8/23. I booked a refundable pay later hotel near the University, for 8/15 - 8/24. I keep hoping somewhere in the middle like Denver, KC, ABQ etc are in the mix, but not mentioned.

Why would anyone think they can’t have back to back shows from two different bands?
Wouldn’t the stage pretty much be the hardest part and it is already done?

Allegiant Stadium in Vegas is actually boasting that they are doing back-to-backs to save bands stage set-up costs. They had Billy Joel and Metallica play one weekend and split costs.

I absolutely agree. It made 0 sense to me.
Yeah - I dont think tearing down a stage is that hard tbh. If yellow Ledbetter ends at 11:15, they start taking things down at 11:16

Every PJ show I usually just sit and wait to get kicked out. It’s impressive watching the crew dismantle the stage so fast.

I'm not sure that's how that's gonna work tbh. Everything production related was designed and brought in by U2's crew, including the equipment to make the band IMAG possible. Definitely interested to see bands that aren't as production reliant as U2 in the Sphere, but idk if I'd expect PJ to be that band

So for the UK and European leg, I am thinking if they don't announce next week - for June/July then it will be an announcement in January and then it will be Aug/ Sep / Oct dates for the tour

You can book your flights and hotels early, but if you aren't blocking out time on the office calendar now to follow European setlist threads next summer then can you even call yourself a fan? I think not.

Madcool Madrid is suposed to announce the line up next Tuesday.
Tuesday?
That's what I've been told. I was also expecting a Monday announcement based on what I've read here. Maybe my source is wrong or maybe it is the official presentation of the festival what is on Tuesday
