There was a thread about how denim was originally dyed with indigo and indigo was brought over with slaves but it was more heres an interesting thing you may not know than 'Jeans are racist'.

MAGA is bringing dictatorship but a few randos on the left are overreacting to a jeans commercial.  I don’t know that there is anyone I can vote for anymore.

I keep seeing shit from the right talking about Sweeney driving the left crazy but I'm not seeing anything from the left. I think it's manufactured but I could be wrong.

It just seems odd that I haven't heard anything critical and I listen more to left leaning news.

    I prefer more Sweeney.
It’s totally manufactured from a handful of social media ragebait posts. Then lazy journalists who drag social media for “stories” throttled it.

His party is knee deep or the American people are?

I'd argue it would behoove the Dems to chase the stuff that has the public interest.

We've become them, in a partisan manner

    It's just so freaking obvious
So it’s not an important issue?
    ask ai.
    Ok

While Democrats are using the issue to their advantage, it's not a guarantee of success. The 2026 Senate election map is already considered challenging for Democrats, as they are defending fewer seats but many are in states that have recently favored Republicans. Democrats would need to hold all of their current seats and gain several more to take control of the Senate.
In summary, the Epstein controversy has created an opening for Democrats to criticize the administration and highlight internal Republican divisions. While public opinion polls show widespread disapproval of how the issue has been handled, it is too early to tell if this will be a decisive factor that helps Democrats win the necessary seats to flip the Senate.

Weren’t you just telling us this a definitive losing issue for Dems and that prosecuting COOTWH would guarantee the repubs hold the house, senate and WH?

    LOL.

Yeah. It’s not a real issue. It’s just a jeans ad.

    True

But so is the fact Democrats have lost their way with young male voters and many other demographic groups while doing nothing to micro Target the weakness, which was supposed to be the party strength in the Obama era.

The party has gone 360 in 12 years and is clueless about it. (Edit, 180)

And wallowing in Epsteinmania is addressing none of the factors that has weakened the Democratic party over the last 10 years

As a Californian, I am elated by this news! Why? Because she would've won.
Governor Gavin Newsom has all but killed California, and Kammie would've buried it.
Now the question is, why did she decide not to run for governor?
Does she seriously still have her eyes on the White House in 2028?
    I hope so!

    They can do both.

But yes, they should try to appeal to more people.

"Republican Curtis Sliwa, who is running for mayor of New York City, blasted socialist opponent Zohran Mamdani for what he says is hypocrisy when it comes to the armed security Mamdani has enjoyed in recent weeks.

"It is very interesting that as he returns from Uganda today he's being picked up by the NYPD armed police officers who provide him security 24 hours a day," Sliwa told Fox News Digital Wednesday. She made 2 ads for American Eagle about Jeans. Theres a wordplay on Genes and Jeans (The gist being 'I'm attractive because of my Genes and these are the Jeans I wear'). Like 6 people on Twitter freaked out that it was White Nationalist coded (because she mentions blond hair and blue eyes) and because Extreme Right Twitter needed a distraction from the Epstein stuff, they ran with "the Left is outraged". When most people just saw a Jeans ad.
the funny thing is nobody is outraged by this. i go on a lot of forums and social media platforms and the only thing i see is people on the right complaining about the people on the left being outraged by this. its ridiculous.

another company should put out a similar ad campaign with a woman of color and then i guess  we can joke about the right being outraged. but the right actually probably would be outraged because woke.

Dems should definitely bow down to the 27.7% of the vote. Otherwise, they’ll never capture the house, never mind the senate and WH.

    they already have.

blue states threatening to gerrymander to give dems more seats is the most aggressive thing i have heard them talk about in 2 decades. of course they won't do it because dems are too busy playing by the rules that the gop basically ignores.
