All the current Jane's dates are in March.  Pearl Jam should schedule some shows with Jane's, and then Josh would already be there!
I've seen quite a few Pearl Jam shows.

Josh is living the dream of getting to jam with so many of my favorite bands. RHCP, Jane's, PJ....great for him! Sounds like he is a cool dude that everyone must like.

Josh will be unavailable for PJ during all current and future Janes Addiction shows
Josh has played 36 shows with PJ. I know they've liked having him on board but it’d be a shame to make all future tours subject to whatever he’s doing.

I’m guessing Pearl Jam has dibs and already locked in dates on his schedule before he committed to anything else.

If you’re into podcasts he was on WTF and it was a pretty cool interview. Very cool to see him getting so much playing time with all these amazing bands

I am sure to be blasted for this comment, but, IMO, PJ entered legacy status post-covid
Try 2011 right after the PJ20 weekend. There was evidence even then that band members were ready to change their paradigm.

Totally agree about 2013-2016. Something happened after that. We'll likely never know what it was, but I often wonder about Can't Deny Me and the forthcoming album produced by Brendan O'Brien that never forthcame.

I feel like the era extended a bit into 2018 too, with the 3 hour+ setlist being common place to the of that tour.   That ere of 3 hour barn burners was legendary and some of the best PJ shows I ever saw.   Plus because the setlists were so long, it drastically increased the amount of rarities played, so I got to cross off a lot of while whale during the era.

Still hoping we might get Vancouver and/or Seattle shows at some point.  I feel like I didn't get to hear enough of Gigaton live.  I think they played 3 of the songs over 2 nights at the Oakland shows I went too.  Was hoping to hear more of it before they tour for the next album.

Early 2013 was the most exciting time I can remember in regards to PJ.  Wrigley was announced in January and leading up to it, it felt like it was going to be THE PJ show of a lifetime.

That plus the excitement of a new album, single, and the tour that followed.

What a time.  I’m hoping we get at least one more “destination” show before the band calls it quits.

I felt like the 2018 shows were kind of a let down.,. Not bad by any stretch, just not as exciting.

The previous show I saw in '16 (Wrigley 2) had been one of my favorites ever. The 2014 tour was stellar also (St Louis, Moline, Milwaukee for me).

I wonder if the post '16 shows simply pale in comparison to a really great stretch.

I think it was more after 2018. The 2018 tour had some fantastic shows (London 2, Rome, Kraków etc).

I hope they get to play Vancouver & Seattle this year. If there wasn't a pandemic & Pearl Jam did get to come up to play those four Canadian dates back in 2020, I betcha we would of only gotten 3 songs off Gigaton too. The stage was set for them to play their whole album @ the Apollo on March 26th. 2 day's after the Hamilton show on March 24th.

Because of the pandemic, Pearl Jam came back to play those Canadian cities 2 years after the album release. They played 11 of the 12 songs off Gigaton. Someday we'll get Comes Then Goes.

Songs they played in Canada last September:

Guessing it'll be easier to redo the rumored fall 2020 dates in arenas - wouldn't have to plan around NBA/NHL as much. Anything else worth hinting here?

Would assume United Center.  But could still play outdoors in Chicago early September.  Lot of bands playing Northerly Island these days.

IF it's United Center, think we could get 2 shows? Arena should be wide open schedule wise that time of the year.
