That "Chicago not Wrigley" rumor dates back to about this time in 2020.

    I like it!
That was going to be the swing states tour.  Michigan, Ohio, PA, Wisconsin.  I’d be up for that!

    Yup.

    Pittsburgh
    Columbus or Cleveland
    Chicago not Wrigley
    Wisconsin
I'm sure NYC and Philly would have been in the mix.

I still think/hope we'll get that tour. Unfortunately, we'll likely have to wait until September of 2024.

If Chicago in September is happening, I would assume PJ is playing Ohana.

Unless if Eddie continues by himself. I think this happened a few years ago in the USA. I know it happened in Europe circa 2015/2016. It's how we got the Imagine single, IIRC.

I went ahead and booked a room in Laguna Hills for the Ohana weekend. It is close to the Aliso Viejo shuttle site. Now to see when the line up is announced.

Obviously I have zero inside info, but the lack of rumors plus Josh's schedule seeming to be booked...and it certainly doesn't look promising.

No way they’d play somewhere this small but it’d be great to see them at the Salt Shed

I personally find this line of thinking odd. Pearl Jam announced their May shows last year, on March 14. Also, that Krist Novoselic comment has to be considered the most reputable rumor we have heard. I understand plans change, but judging by their timeline from last year, there is still over 6 weeks until they announced the 2022 Spring shows.

True.  But those were shows that were technically already announced and everyone knew were coming

Didn’t we also get a “we are finalizing dates and the tour will begin in early May” newsletter around this time as well?

The fact that Fall rumors are starting to roll in but the spring is total crickets makes me feel like it’s not happening as we enter February this week

The notice that the 2020 rescheduled shows would take place beginning in May, 2022 was actually sent out in the fall of 2021, followed by the actual dates being released in March, 2022.  I’m with Weston that that is a totally different situation from announcing net new shows.

I agree with you 100% on Novoselic being the most replicable rumour we have, however mid March is only 6 weeks away and usually by this time there are several rumoured or confirmed cities mentioned.

I get the Weezer, Green Day, Fall Out Boy tour drawing large crowds. I admit (and proudly own!) that I live in a PJ bubble and have zero knowledge of the current Fall Out Boy fanbase.. Is it large enough to warrant booking venues as large as Wrigley and Fenway?! They must believe so so good on them!

Definitely is.  They aren’t THAT old (Patrick the lead singer is only 38).  They just announced a massive tour that should sell very well besides lawn seats

Aren’t they from Chicago? And they got alkaline trio too who is Chicago based. Still can’t imagine it’ll be hard getting tickets if you wanted to go...hoping that Trio announces a show at the metro a day around the Wrigley show. Love alkaline trio

Would assume United Center.  But could still play outdoors in Chicago early September.  Lot of bands playing Northerly Island these days.

Just put in a request for DMB tickets at Northerly Island. It's a scenic location, but a terrible venue. There's very little pitch to the amphitheatre so if you're towards the back you have a terrible view, you're basically just watching the screens. And the main seating area is zip-tied folding chairs with no arm rests and minimal leg room. It would be great if they invested in a better amphitheatre because they do seem to be getting more and better shows there.

Either the United Center or Soldier Field would be perfectly good.

Guessing a couple shows at UC. Soldier would be possible if show was Labor Day weekend, but the field would have to be re-sodded before Bears' home opener the following week (like it was last year). Given the Bears were pretty embarrassed by the playing surface last year, I don't see the City going down that path again as it wants to keep the team from moving to the suburbs.

With how highly regarded the Camden show was, it wouldn’t shock me to see them sprinkle in more amphitheater shows in with the Arenas.

Didn’t Ed say at the show that Camden sold more tickets than any other show that tour?

And yeah, literally zero chance Soldier Field throws a concert during football season
