    174000 joined in 1998 I think.
My profile says joined in 2000. I'm wondering if I just got a new membership and didn't renew my first year? O well.
Wondering if everyone that registered pre-2000 just has 2000 on their profile. Seems like an online default thing rather than a "missed a year" thing.
That might just be when you joined the forum but not positive on that!

I believe (based on being an old fart and being on this thing for far too long) that the 2000 date on the profile corresponds to when they moved it all online. All legacy members that were active before and through 2000 all got the same joined date. The earliest date I could track down under membership for me is below:

Legacy Pearl Jam Membership (Start: 1996-07-17)

That sounds about right. But it also might be the date of my first 10C order as it would be the time of ordering the Toledo Sept 1996 tickets. I do know that after those tickets, I made sure not to let the fan club membership expire.

I'm not sure that 30 makes sense. Yes, the first few years didn't give sequential numbers, but I'm a 279XXX and joined in early 2003.

    2024-30=1994.

At one time there was a fan website that tracked active member's numbers and their start dates.  That was probably over a decade ago.  Not sure if it still exists.

Exactly. A lot of people have dropped out or have been removed for 10C violations. To scalpers, an extra $40 is nothing. Heck, professional scalping companies probably write off the 10C fees as an expense.

Nothing so far. I put in for St. Paul both nights GA/reserved. Hoping I can get ten club tickets to a venue that is five miles from where I live.

If 10C/TM was smart, they'd give additional weight to local fans. It'd suck for you to miss out while someone from another continent is in.

Wondering if everyone that registered pre-2000 just has 2000 on their profile. Seems like an online default thing rather than a "missed a year" thing.

Mine says 1998.  I sent it my money at the end of '97, and I think 10c processed in January (i actually got two fan club singles, they sent me the one for 97 because I just missed it, and the one for 98 because I was still a member, which was a classy thing to do).  I think my profile says June '98 so its only off by 5 months.

Plus people with older memberships tend to renew them because of seat location benefit with seniority.   So you don't really gain much seniority in the 10c.  If you joined after seniority became a thing, I think people were more likely to let it lapse and wait to renew for the next tour (lots morning churning amongst people that don't/didn't have much seniority).

I don't know where you cut it off, maybe take a 20% of people that have been in Ten Club the longest in that particular city are guaranteed seats. Doesn't help everyone but the people that just shouldn't get shut out.
