I was away from my computer for about 45 minutes and came back to nearly 100 new posts on the thread. I figured there had been an announcement. Nope.

April 5th Tour Announcement on McCready's birthday seems like a good idea.  While we wait, I'll listen to the 4/5/03 bootleg from San Antonio.

I have no idea what to think right now. Kind of a dick move for Santos to say what he did if it isn’t imminent.
They do this every time. They throw out the warning, and then it’s usually the next week or whenever that the announcement drops. It's not a dick move. It's giving people a chance to fix or re-up their memberships before it's too late. Some people are getting way too hung up on the word 'today'.
We had 2 emails with the membership reminder. Plus a social media tease.

There was literally no reason to add another post specifically saying TODAY is a good day, if it wasn’t, other than to fan the flames, and gain internet clout. He knew exactly what he was doing and it was unnecessary.

In one of the last scenes in that PJ teaser video you can see an ACL flag.

Ouch yeah Philly would probably be one of the places I’d drive too see them or Boston! So what is it about this band I wish they would just have the guts to state hey folks we don’t like touring as a band anymore! Beatles did it lol, it’s hard to think otherwise you can’t tell me this is band that likes to hit the road every year, like Bruce or DMB etc etc etc

The Philly announcement was a week of concert cash contest and MMRBQ lineup will be announced on Monday at 8am. It’s usually held in May, but now will be happening in September this year

They clearly do not.  They show up when they need money.  And we take what we can get.

Looking back at the 2022 announcement on Mar 14th it was very quiet too aside from the newsletter on the 10th. Radio chatter outside the 10C world really does not mean anything imo. The only reason we knew it was that day for sure is because the tickets for the rescheduled dates were changing status that morning but before that we were all guessing just as we are today.

Also Pearl Jam announced it on social media at 10am Pacific sharp.

You're saying the quiet part out loud.

It's been a long, long time since their outfit really had the gusto of a band who loves to tour.

Definitely need to coordinate an announcement with radio hype, for the 47 people that still listen to the radio. Maybe they are waiting for ad's they want to put in the newspaper to get approved, too.

Radio is awesome. Where else can you hear Imagine Dragons every hour, on the hour?

To be fair, I actually do listen to a lot of radio. It's become increasingly easier to win concert tickets. I assume that is due to the drop in listeners.
