    Ukrainian forces have nearly encircled the most forward positions of Russian troops inside the city of Toretsk after a surprise counteroffensive was launched in the Donetsk region.

    Ukraine hasn’t made this significant of an advance since the invasion of Kursk.

    Russia has not achieved its strategic goals in their current offensive operation in Donetsk.

    Initial reports suggest similar things are taking place towards the Pokrovsk direction.

    Bingo, and now Zelensky is being told to just trust Putin and trust Trump without any security guarantees. Give up your rare minerals for nothing. I knew Putin had Trump on a leash but I never expected they would be so open about it.

    Lech is a hero too.  He's a brave man who fought for his country and its freedom.  He didn't lay down.  His lieutenants didn't lay down even when the KGB kidnapped a little baby in the middle of the night to force a lieutenant out of hiding.  They weren't Vichy.

    The premeditated theater, or rather great TV, of that meeting was meant to set this act up. That, along with all the pundits backing the nonsense that Zalensky was the bad guy in the room.

    Zalensky more or less walked into a trap. Meanwhile, the other Vlad, the one that we love for being so unwoke, is probably laughing maniacally.

    They are not having an election because they are under martial law, and there is no way to have a fair election with the eastern provinces (and Crimea) under occupation, with countless people in exile and with tens of thousands of soldiers on the front lines.

    I am not pro-war. Russia created this situation. "Forced Ukraine to do our dirty work"? Trump literally tried to force Ukraine to do his personal political dirty work when he asked Zelenskyy to dig up dirt on Biden. Zelenskyy refused, and now Trump's personal grievance is leading him to side with a murderous dictator who invaded a sovereign country and who would like nothing more than to see the U.S. and its alliances collapse. Trump is enacting Putin's agenda, and you're blaming Ukraine?!

    Many of the countries he's referring to participated in the war in Afghanistan that ended less than four years ago. They did so because we invoked the collective self-defense provision of Article 5 of the NATO charter. They literally came to our defense.

    Trump doesn't know any better, but Vance certainly does. He's just pathetic.
