Being someone who doesnt really engage with IG, is that really Jeff's account? I would have expected a profile such as his to have considerably more followers than 21,000

So we can now safely assume these 2 new songs being released imminently actually was fake news.
no
It didn’t happen. Therefore it wasn’t accurate. It ain’t rocket science. doesn’t mean anyone lied, sometimes things change. But it didn’t happen.
That is not the same as "fake news" though
Fake News has multiple meanings. It can refer to a deliberately false set of facts or it can be used disingenuously to discredit something that is actually true.

Ok so this made up thing that isn’t actually true is different from another made up thing that isn’t true. Either way it didn’t happen.
If I made up something out of the blue, like "Pearl Jam is playing Alaska!!" and that didnt happen, and it was 100% made up, thats fake news.
If I had inside information that Pearl Jam was booking Anchorage, and they had some legit plans for it, etc and I said, "Pearl Jam to play Alaska", and then that all fell through because they couldnt agree on the venue or whatever....thats not fake news. It just didnt happen.
I think the definition of fake news is just that. Fake, made up. If something doesnt happen, but might have, thats not really fake news, just things that changed between the news and the final result.
plus concerning this most recent stuff...those 2 songs may in fact actually happen. If they do, its not fake news, but if they dont, maybe the dates changed, etc. from the time it was reported, or titles changed. Or it could be fake news. But we dont know that for sure yet.
Pearl Jam to release new album. Will the new single ever release? Only Jeff knows
lmao

Right.
Something happening a little later than originally thought does not make that something "fake." lol
