My Best Guess For The 2022 NA Tour Schedule (Now With Ballparks!)

No rumors like the other thread, this is just using existing data & each venue's event calendar.

The only real wild card is Apollo, MSG, and Baltimore. If they do Baltimore at all, I think they'll switch over to the Xfinity Center, or if we're lucky, Oriole Park at Camden Yards.

There's a good chance they'll just skip Baltimore all together, in which case (refunds) they'll take a bunch of days off, or maybe play D.C. instead.

If Canada gets switched around like I think it will, I can see an MSG date being added.

Leaving this all on the page for you to decipher :-)

05/01 - Hamilton    05/09 - Apollo     05/16 - Nashville    05/25 - Phoenix (Glendale)
05/02 - Tronno      05/10 - MSG I      05/18 - St. Louis    05/27 - San Diego (Whale's Vagina)
05/04 - Ottawa      05/12 - MSG II      05/20 - OKC          05/29 & 30 - LA Forum I & II
05/05* - Quebec    05/14 - Balt./DC    05/23 - Denver      06/01 & 02 - Oakland I & II

If I end up being right, please keep me in mind if a spare ticket becomes available for cost, and I can book a cheap flight to your town😅

Someone DM'd me why Apollo, MSG and a possible 2nd MSG wouldn't be back-to-back-to-back, and it's a good question, so I figure I'd put it up here.
If these days line up with what they're planning, 05/11 falls on a Wednesday, and that's Improv night at the Apollo. After playing there & getting to experience it in person, I don't think they'd want to conflict with one of their hallowed traditions.
That, and the band just doesn't do 3 nights in a row anymore. Gotta rest the pipes. :) So, that's my guess.

With Bal likely to be scrapped it will be interesting to see how that changes things with this tour. Maybe it just starts two days later now and Bal was opening or maybe Bal was the closer. Or maybe just a bigger gap between shows. I do like the thought of more MSG added due to it though.

If this was in Feb/Mar/April it would be a lot easier to pin down dates since sports schedules would still be going but May is anyones guess really. Fun to make predictions though.

We are down to roughly 30 or so dates to choose from now and this is IF they are doing Canada in May/June. Hopefully we get a leak before Christmas.
  • Too many open dates at all venues, no good way to guess without some leaks

I mean, you're not wrong! But the band classically takes 2-3 weeks to shift from NA to Europe (or abroad). And factoring in the European dates, along with the fact that the last newsletter was very specific in saying "May 2022", not April/May 2022, I think this is our clearest idea yet.

As a few of you mentioned, it looks like Baltimore could be up in the air. This is from an article in the Baltimore Sun:

“Baltimore’s spending panel approved the deal Wednesday that sets the stage for a $150 million redevelopment of Royal Farms Arena in downtown Baltimore.

The Board of Estimates’ approval sets in motion an “aggressive” construction plan for the aging facility, which is scheduled to start in late February and be completed in about 11 months. The quick turnaround is meant to ensure that Baltimore can stick to its agreement to host the 2022 and 2023 Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association basketball tournaments.”

    Kinda.

"Thank you, Pearl Jam fans, for your patience and flexibility as we have waited to reschedule the band’s postponed 2020 North American tour.

We are confirming that the previously scheduled shows in North America will start in May 2022. We are working to finalize the details of the new tour schedule and will announce the dates early next year.

For nearly two years, the band has wanted nothing more than to play their new music live for you. The whole Pearl Jam team shares your excitement for us all to be safely on the road again together."

My sheet takes them up to 06/02 in Oakland, and the band likes a good 2 weeks before crossing the ocean, so I'd give my dates a +/- of 2 days max. With Europe 2022 starting 06/18 @ PinkPop in Landgraaff, I feel pretty good about these picks.

  • I’m calling Nashville May 19 based on nothing more than it working well for my schedule and the Hilton near the venue being sold out.  Of course, it is also sold out on other nights in May, but no other Thursdays, which was the original day of the week, not that that matters.

I think I may like that, if that is the plan for the Tour. I'm driving from the East Coast, so it may work better to just drive straight out west and then ONLY have some "shorter drives" to the shows while heading back East.

But, that Baltimore show at that Venue has to HAPPEN! PLEASE !!!

If they REALLY wanna keep Baltimore, they've got a few options:
    • the Xfinity Center (no basketball games scheduled on 05/13, or 05/14)
    • MECU Pavilion (available 05/12 & 14th, the 13th is Chicago. The band. With Peter Cetera. I think. Is he still there?)
    • I saw you & @OceanJenny brought up the Merriweather and I did NOT know that Runnin' On Empty and The Load Out/Stay were recorded there. PJ NEEDS to play there again somehow.
