Not that it makes any difference, but the Ryman is in Nashville, not Memphis. And yes, it would be a dream come true to see Pearl Jam at the Ryman!!
I meant to put that in there as an Apollo-like bonus, but messed up the town for sure. Took Memphis/The Ryman out of my latest draft because I couldn't fit STL in on Leg II. That would be a sweet show. PJ at the Grand Ol' Opry!

You guys were joking about "Gig-a-ton"? Let's see what you got
if the whisper about MSG being moved to November on the rumor thread is true, then this is me gaming out the remaining 2020 make-up dates, mixed with some old favorites, and a few new spots to keep things fresh:
Part IV - 1. Ohana Means Fam-ily
2. Las Vegas, NV - Wed. 09/28
to help hold the House seats for Susie Lee & Steven Horsford
to help Senator Catherine Masto (or the Democratic/Independent primary winner) hold their Senate seat
to help Governor Stephen Sisolak (or the Democratic/Independent primary winner) hold the Governor's chair
a long-awaited return to the home of the band's 10th anniversary: Vegas!
possible venues
T-Mobile Arena (the reliable choice, as long as we check vaccine & test status) 20,000
Cashman Field (baseball, Jerry Cantrell & Metallica played there in '98) 12,500
Michelob Ultra Arena (UFC) 12,000
3. Denver, CO - Fri. 09/30, The Pepsi Center (2020 make-up date)
4. Lincoln, NE - Tue. 10/03 or Wed. 10/04 (last visit: Oct. 2014, voter reg. initiative)
to help send Rep. Don Bacon (R) packing, and pick up a seat for the Democratic/Independent primary winner
to help send Gov. Pete Ricketts packing, and help the Democratic/Independent primary winner take the Governor's chair
Pinnacle Bank Arena (it's ASM Global, just gotta check vaccine & test status) 14,620
TD Ameritrade Park (baseball, a beautiful park) 24,000
5. Ames, Iowa - Thu. 10/06 (voter reg. initiative; don't know if we'll get 2 small towns, but we can dream...)
to help hold the House seat for Cindy Axne (IA-3), and defeat Mariannette Miller-Meeks (IA-2) & Ashley Hinson (IA-1)
Mitch
McConnell's BFF Chuck Grassley will be *89* by this time next year. 7
terms in the Senate (41, going on 42 years). When he runs, he'll serve
ANOTHER term if a Democrat is elected Governor, or retire in 2023 &
let the Republican Governor appoint a Republican Senator without an
election. Iowa MUST step up.
to defeat Governor Kim Reynolds, and help the Democratic/Independent primary winner take the Governor's chair
possible venues
Hilton Coliseum (basketball arena; check vaccine & test status) 14,384
Hey Jeff, they have a skate park
I
mean... it's Ames! Who else would do the poster?? Also, PJ actually had
a gig here in 1991, but it was cut short. Time to make things right!
Ames is a very blue-ish purple town, and the home to ISU. Could be the
next Moline show! Speaking of...
and/or 5.2. Moline, IL - Thu. 10/06, TaxSlayer Center (voter reg. initiative; formerly iWireless Center, circa 2014)
look,
I'm glad Adam Kinzinger (R) is doing SOMETHING to defeat Trumpism, but he's leaving his seat. We NEED a Blue pick-up, otherwise Trump Stooge
Kevin McCarthy will be Speaker of the House. Again, pick-up some seats
for Democrats, or Independents
to help Senator Tammy Duckworth (or the Democratic/Independent primary winner) hold their Senate seat
to help Governor J.B. Pritzker (or the Democratic/Independent primary winner) hold the Governor's chair
The
Return to Moline. Then Wrigley! And if not the latter, then a
little love for the ol' United Center?
6. Chicago, IL - 10/08 & 10/09, Wrigley Field (give or take a day), or United Center (Basketball) *2 nights, regardless of venue
7. Detroit, MI - Tue. 10/11 (voter reg. initiative)
to help hold the House seat for Elissa Slotkin (MI-8), and defeat Peter Meijer (MI-3)
to
help Governor Gretchen Whitmer hold her Governor's chair (this is a big
one, since she & her family have been targeted by right wing
extremists)
possible venues
DTE Energy Music Theatre (originally Pine Knob Music Theatre, outdoors) 15,274
Little Caesars Arena (basketball) 17,131
RIP Joe Louis Arena. The Motor City beckons! Side note: DTE?? Meant to be! Also, it's on BOB SEGER DR.
Part V - Oh, Canada! (or, "Ode to Martin Short")
8. Hamilton, ON - Fri. 10/14 or Sat. 10/15 (2020 make-up date)
9. Toronto, ON - Sun. 10/16 (2020 make-up date)
10. Ottawa - Tue. 10/18 (2020 make-up date)
11. Quebec City - Thu. 10/20 (2020 make-up date)
Part VI - Return of the Jedi (or "Kick Out The Jam Band Venues")
12. Gilford, NH - Sun. 10/23 & Mon. 10/24, Bank of NH Pavilion (outdoors, voter reg. initiative)
to help hold the House, and re-elect Maggie Hassan to her Senate seat
to
help defeat ineffectual Governor Chris Sununu, and elect the Democratic/Independent primary winner to the Governor's
chair
DMB proved that NH can be a draw
(2-nighters, no less!), and it would be one more state completed by the
band. Worth a visit!
13. Mansfield, MA - Wed. 10/26 & Thu. 10/27, Xfinity Center (formerly Tweeter Center & Great Woods, outdoors, voter reg. initiative)
to help hold the House, and defeat Governor Charlie Baker by supporting the Democratic/Independent primary winner
magic awaits in Mansfield!! Love Fenway, but let's go back to Mansfield & make some new memories.
14. Hartford, CT - Sat. 10/29, Xfinity Theatre (formerly the Dodge Music Centre, outdoors, voter reg. initiative)
to help hold the House, and re-elect Richard Blumenthal (or the Democratic/Independent primary winner) to the Senate
to help re-elect Governor Ned Lamont to keep his Governor's chair
the
long awaited to return Hartford. From 2008, onward: nothing but top tier
shows. Hartford '08 is arguably Top 25 all-time (Top 5, for me)
15. Apollo - Mon. 10/31, or Tue. 11/01 (2020 make-up date... Halloween!!)
16. MSG - Thu. 11/03 & Fri. 11/04 (2020 make-up date, and add another for good measure)

Large groan for having to wait almost another year for NYC… but loving the way you mapped the schedule! Impressed on how well you know your local politics for these areas.
Would love Hartford and Mansfield shows!! Would definitely make a trip up for that.

Large groan for having to wait almost another year for NYC… but loving the way you mapped the schedule! Impressed on how well you know your local politics for these areas.
Would love Hartford and Mansfield shows!! Would definitely make a trip up for that.
I'd rather see them in May, too. And yeah, I stay on top of things as best I can I think the band's activism can sometimes get lost on here.
I would make the trip for Hartford. Nothing but bangers since '08. While this seems like a lot of dates for the band by today's standards, it's not really different than say, 2014. As long as Ed's throat can hold out, they could totally pull this off.

No rumors like the other thread, this is just using existing data & each venue's event calendar.
The only real wild card is Apollo, MSG, and Baltimore. If they do Baltimore at all, I think they'll switch over to the Xfinity Center, or if we're lucky, Oriole Park at Camden Yards.
There's a good chance they'll just skip Baltimore all together, in which case (refunds) they'll take a bunch of days off, or maybe play D.C. instead.
If Canada gets switched around like I think it will, I can see an MSG date being added.

I think they start on the west coast and go east… cutting it too close on time to have the equipment in California at the end and get it to Europe in a week or so…
I have no inside info, but it *would* be a bit hypocritical for a Gigaton tour to start east and end west, no?
Yeah, it could be. But the guys' families are entrenched on the west coast, so who knows. Occasional necessary evils :(
One of the underlying currents of Gigaton to me is not so much the band preaching their green superiority, but stating WE need to get our collective shit together (themselves included).
Maybe that's why it's taken so long. They're working around other acts & venues, trying to make as little a carbon foot print as possible, and maybe we'll get something completely different. But like I said, these are just my best guesses.
selfishly, I want a Vitalogy show, lol.
Maybe, but I always felt the biggest impact to the carbon footprint isn't how they tour, but it's how small the tours and how many places they don't play. It's created a fandom that largely accepts they have to travel to see shows. I often think the biggest carbon footprint isn't from the band and the crew, but all the fans traveling to see a show or shows.
Yeah. Pearl Jam is saying "we know we're not the best, but we ALL need to wake up."
Fans don't have to travel internationally. We know the band tours all over. They (we) lack patience. Some of us may have only seen them once or twice. Others will travel from Europe for the EV shows AND the USA spring tour and then all over Europe. They know full-well the band is going to their continent, yet they have that "neeeeeeeeed" to see them.
If I didn't win tickets for Fenway 2016, I wouldn't have had seen them since 2014 and that was a little over an hour away from me. For some people, that would be unacceptable.
Sit and wait till the band comes to you.... Interesting strategy
I'm not saying "wait until it's your town" but people who are plugged into the rumors will realize there isn't as much of a need to fly to different hemispheres because it's typically not as long a wait as it seems until someone's home country is visited.
South America 2011, 2013, 2015, 2018 Europe 2010, 2012, 2014, 2018 North America 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015(one show), 2016 (plus 3 shows Canada), 2018
Notable exceptions: Australia/NZ 2014, USA 2015 & 2017...one USA show each of these years. 2011 was also a bit of an oddball with PJ20 and the Canadian tour being it for the entire northern hemisphere.
2011 and 2012 were definitely slower years. If you look at Wrigley 2013 to Boston 2018, they've toured fairly consistently. Of course 2020 was supposed to be big, but we all know what happened there. If COVID didn't happen, it's reasonable to assume that 2021 and 2022 would also be fairly big years.
(They've never been to Africa. With only two trips to Asia, I'm sure they'd go more often, but it seems like the fanbase may not really be there.)
If they announced an entire year at once, people from whatever continent wouldn't need to buy tickets for other continents because they'd know "Oh, I don't have to travel to the USA because they're coming here just a few months later."
That bold part agitates me. Other bands: "Hey! We're gonna tour 75 dates all over the world next year. Here's where we'll be 2-3 months from now AND 8-9 months from now."
Pearl Jam: "Oh, BTW, we're doing 12 USA dates 3-4 months from now. We won't even announce European and South American dates that we probably should, so everyone come on over for a clusterfuck in ticketing."

They really do need to give people a full years plan or more for dates. But the current system is only supported by current events. Less on the line if they announce little by little

I agree they love to maximize on ticket sales by announcing continents at different times when they are playing in the same year. There is no chance I would have done the Europe tour if I knew in early Dec 2019 when I put in for the tickets that they had 2 legs planned for NA. If they know the dates or at least their intentions announce it all together and have us fans that need to travel to see them anyways decide what works best for us.
I will say though that some are content with seeing them once a year or once every couple of years which is fine. Others though are either playing catchup missing seeing this band tour in the earlier years or just still love to see them play multiple times and there really is nothing wrong with that either. Plenty of fans like to see new cities and use PJ as an excuse to do so. If Italy 2017 and Euro 2018 never happened for me I would have missed out on 2 of the best trips of my life. PJ was a factor in it all but there is so much more to it seeing new places and meet new friends.
If they do the Grand Old Opry (and it seems like a HUGE if)... Do they bring back 25 Minutes To Go for the acoustic bit of the first encore?
That, or they bring a string of bulbs onstage for Ed to stomp during a cover of 'Ring of Fire' or 'Jackson' with Brandi

RATM postponing there tour definitely has the potential to affect what PJ has planned, but it still seems a little too close. So here's one more version of my best guess for legs I & II of the 2022 NA Tour.
5th Draft
- a couple of board members mentioned how cold it would be in October during some of my proposed NA dates, so I've reversed course, starting East, and heading back West (assuming PJ vacations in Europe after their tour there).
Leg I
Part I - The Cali-ball Run
1. Oakland I - Tue. 05/03 (05/01 is booked, 2020 make-up date)
2. Oakland II - Wed. 05/04 (2020 make-up date)
3. Los Angeles I - Fri. 05/06 (maybe hire a Latino/Latina artist, and get a bitchin' sugar skull poster?)
4. Los Angeles II - Sat. 05/07 (2020 make-up date)
5. San Diego - Sun. 05/08 (2020 make-up date)
Part II - We're (Still) Cooking Ourselves Alive
6. Phoenix (Glendale), AZ - Tue. 05/10 (2020 make-up date)
*7. Albuquerque, NM - Thu. 05/12? (room for new date, voter reg. initiative)
- - possible venues:
Isleta Amphitheater, Albuquerque, NM (the Foo Fighters played there this year, and their poster is SICK) 15,000
The Pit (basketball), Albuquerque, NM (indoors, so not as likely as an outdoor venue, but still viable) 13,480
Isotopes Park, Albuquerque, NM (just the fact that there's a Simpsons statue makes this place a worthy contender) 13,500
BUT, Foo Fighters have it booked on 05/20, and Tim McGraw has it the next night on 05/21
IF they can squeeze this in, it would mean either playing Nashville on 05/18 (and here on 05/19), or playing here on 05/22 (and Baltimore/Columbia, MD on 05/23, or 05/24). Crazy, but plausible.
**12. Baltimore, or Columbia, MD - Sun. 05/22 or Mon. 05/23 (2020 make-up date, former venue will be under rehab)
- - possible venues:
Oriole Park at Camden Yards, Baltimore, MD (another legendary ballpark) 45,971
Merriweather Post Ampitheatre, Columbia, MD (I'm more on board with this day by day) 19,319
MECU Pavilion, Baltimore, MD (10C only, special event?? Baltimore ticket holders & a lottery? ; ) 4,600
*13. D.C. - Tue. 05/24 or Wed. 05/25 (room for new date, voter reg. initiative)
- - possible venues:
Nationals Park, Washington D.C.(easy in, easy out) 41,339
Capital One Arena, (formerly the Verizon Center) Washington D.C. 20,356
~ all prospective dates are +/- a day ~
- end of 2022 NA Leg I -
- start of Europe 2022 tour -
- break -
- start of 2022 NA Leg II -
Leg II
Part IV - Citizen Dick on Patrol (feat. Tony Hawk)
1. Apollo - Fri. 08/19, or Sat. 08/20 (2020 make-up date)
**2. MSG - Sun. 08/21 & Mon. 08/22 (2020 make-up date, and add another for good measure. Roger Waters has the Garden on 08/30 & 8/31, so hopefully Mother gets a special guest at either residence
*3. Hartford, CT - Wed. 08/24, Xfinity Theatre (formerly the Dodge Music Centre, outdoors, voter reg. initiative)
*4. Mansfield, MA - Thu. 08/25 & Fri. 08/26, Xfinity Center (formerly Tweeter Center & Great Woods, outdoors, voter reg. initiative)
*5. Gilford, NH - Sun. 08/28 & Mon. 08/29, Bank of NH Pavilion (outdoors, voter reg. initiative)
DMB proved that NH can be a draw
(2-nighters, no less!), and it would be one more state completed by the
band. Worth a visit!
Part V - Oh, Canada! (or, "Ode to Gordon Lightfoot")
6. Quebec City - Thu. 09/01 (2020 make-up date)
7. Ottawa - Fri. 09/02 (2020 make-up date)
8. Toronto, ON - Sun. 09/04 or Mon. 09/05 (2020 make-up date)
9. Hamilton, ON - Tue. 09/06 (2020 make-up date)
Part VI - Return of the Jedi (or "Kick Out The Jam Band Venues")
*10. Detroit, MI - Wed. 09/07 (voter reg. initiative)
- - possible venues:
DTE Energy Music Theatre (originally Pine Knob Music Theatre, outdoors) 15,274
Little Caesars Arena (basketball) 17,131
RIP Joe Louis Arena. The Motor City beckons! Side note: DTE?? Meant to be! Also, it's on BOB SEGER DR.
*11. Milwaukee, WI - Fri. 09/09
- - possible venues:
FiServ Forum (the Bradley Center was demolished, sadly) 18,412
American Family Insurance Amphitheater (formerly known as the Marcus Amphitheater) 23,000
*12. Chicago, IL - Mon. 09/12 & Tue. 09/13, Wrigley Field (give or take a day) or United Center. 2 nights, regardless of venue. Out of respect, the guys don't play 09/11 much (at least in the U.S).
*13.1. Moline, IL - Thu. 09/15, TaxSlayer Center (voter reg. initiative; formerly iWireless Center, circa 2014), or Fri. 09/16 if they play Wrigley. If they skip Moline, I nominate...
*13.2. Ames, Iowa - Thu. 09/15 or Fri. 09/16 (voter reg. initiative; don't know if we'll get 2 small towns, but we can dream...) - - possible venues:
Hilton Coliseum (basketball arena; check vaccine & test status) 14,384
Hey Jeff, they have a skate park
I
mean... it's Ames! Who else would do the poster?? Also, PJ actually had
a gig here in 1991, but it was cut short. Time to make things right!
Ames is a very blue-ish purple town, and the home to ISU. Could be the
next Moline show!
*14. Lincoln, NE - Sat. 09/17 or Sun. 09/18 (last visit: Oct. 2014, voter reg. initiative)
- - possible venues:
Pinnacle Bank Arena (it's ASM Global, just gotta check vaccine & test status) 14,620
TD Ameritrade Park (baseball, a beautiful park) 24,000
15. Denver, CO - Mon. 09/19, The Pepsi Center (2020 make-up date)
*16. Las Vegas, NV - Wed. 09/21 (last visit: June 2003, voter reg. initiative)
- - possible venues:
T-Mobile Arena (the reliable choice, as long as we check vaccine & test status) 20,000
Cashman Field (baseball, Metallica & Jerry Cantrell played there in '98) 12,500
Michelob Ultra Arena (UFC) 12,000
17. Ohana Means Fam-ily Sat. 9/24 or Sun. 09/25 (could be Ed, could be PJ, could be both. Marking it 8, just in case).
- end of 2022 NA Leg II & PJ World Tour -
Thoughts?

I like your draft and make sense to start the Leg 1 from west to east in May. If they achieve this schedule maybe a World tour II will happen in 2023 (SA/Australia) . I don´t think that the Omicron wave will affect shows in May as EV shows in Feb are confirmed.

How does their stage setup get changed between arenas and amphitheaters? Do they just rent this stuff locally and have it constructed, or do they move it all from town to town? That's the one thing I think would make your guesses not work, having to have two different stage setups, if that is indeed a constraint.

A friend who works in the same building as MSG management said they were really close to postponing NY I, II, and Newark, but looks like it's full steam ahead now. Definitely gonna need proof of vax, mask enforcement if you don't.

They've definitely scaled down since the Lightning Bolt tour(s). 2016-onward has been a mostly bare-bones affair, with just the dangling lights & 3 video screens. The boys are good adapting

I'm not saying "wait until it's your town" but people who are plugged into the rumors will realize there isn't as much of a need to fly to different hemispheres because it's typically not as long a wait as it seems until someone's home country is visited.
South America 2011, 2013, 2015, 2018
Europe 2010, 2012, 2014, 2018
North America 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015(one show), 2016 (plus 3 shows Canada), 2018
Notable exceptions:
Australia/NZ 2014,
USA 2015 & 2017...one USA show each of these years.
If they do the Grand Old Opry (and it seems like a HUGE if)... Do they bring back 25 Minutes To Go for the acoustic bit of the first encore?
Cincinnati 2014
Greenville 2016
(Raleigh 2016)
Columbia 2016
I will say though that some are content with seeing them once a year or once every couple of years which is fine. Others though are either playing catchup missing seeing this band tour in the earlier years or just still love to see them play multiple times and there really is nothing wrong with that either. Plenty of fans like to see new cities and use PJ as an excuse to do so. If Italy 2017 and Euro 2018 never happened for me I would have missed out on 2 of the best trips of my life. PJ was a factor in it all but there is so much more to it seeing new places and meet new friends.
