Look at the bright side. We all get to join here again tomorrow for this joyous, communal and kumbaya experience. Savor these glorious days. There will likely be many more ahead.
With that said an announcement tomorrow would be great!
Soon to be 28 and counting:
1998: Mansfield, MA (9/15) 2000: Virginia Beach, VA (8/3), Saratoga Springs, NY (8/27), Mansfield, MA (8/29 and 8/30) 2003: Albany, NY (4/29), Mansfield, MA (7/2 and 7/3), New York, NY (7/8 and 7/9) 2006: Hartford, CT (5/23), Boston, MA (5/24 and 5/25) 2009: Chicago, IL (8/23 and 8/24) 2010: Boston, MA (5/17) 2011: East Troy, WI (9/3 and 9/4) 2013: Worcester, MA (10/15 and 10/16), Hartford, CT (10/25) 2016: Boston, MA (8/5 and 8/7) 2018: Boston, MA (9/2 and 9/4) 2022: Camden, NJ (9/14) 2024: Boston, MA (9/15 and 9/17)
By the way, when you go into the "Ten Club" tab above, you get to the newsletters. I'm guessing at some point before the newsletter for tomorrow is posted, you can simply change the web address from "February-10" to "March-10" and read it ahead of time.
Can't see Lolla. Chicago is Wrigley or bust these days. I think Aug is Ball Park month. similar to 2018 Chicago, Missoula, Maybe Baltimore (Camden Yds) instead of Boston.
Lolla typically announces in April, so likely not happening unless a PJ tour update in March has Chicago missing from the dates. Wrigley most likely, United Center being second likely.
It’s been announced around middle of March for the last handful of years
Yeah, my wife got the email too and her membership is current.
I know they normally don’t announce dates in the newsletter but I think they’d have to announce something tomorrow. If it’s like links to buy Eddie’s album/Painted Shield and a contest/merch announcement and NO dates…
If the consensus is most dates are Aug/Sept then that’s still quite a bit of notice; but if some dates are in May they can’t wait that much longer.
You guys are seriously missing out on Clear if your within the US. Specifically for ATL, Clear has a separate line for Pre Check (assuming you have TSA Pre as well) and you get a nice discount with your Delta Skymiles.
yeah but for $179 annually youre better off waiting 5 more min in the regualr precheck line.
Some credit cards you can get one or the other or both. The AMEX Platinum card you get complimentary Clear membership and Global Entry/Precheck with the card. They did just hike up the annual fee a lot on it though last year, but if you fly several times a year, it can be worth it. Also comes with access to their Centurion lounges in airports and upper statuses in Marriot and Hilton
Oof... yeah 695 is high for Amex Platinum.
Of course, the $200 flight credits knock it down to $495.. that's an easy get... If you happen to book $200 worth of their specific luxury hotels then it drops it to $295.
I use Chase Sapphire Reserve ... $550 but $300 in any travel charged to the card (air/hotel) so it's really only $250. They offer Global Entry free plus a juicy Priority Pass membership... but not clear or centurion lounges. I've used the travel insurance a ton of times too.. Currently have a claim for $500ish for a 8hr flight delay that required rebooking, some ubers, a few meals, and a shuttle that they're paying out on. Pretty slick perk.
That said... Global Entry / Precheck is indeed worth it's weight in gold. Not having to take off shoes/belts/etc... not having to pull out laptops or toiletries... the shorter lines...etc. Awesome stuff.
You also get Walmart + membership for free on AMEX Platinum lol. Such a weird perk
The Sapphire Reserve card is really good too. I kinda wish I had gotten that now instead of the Platinum, but I've made it work for me so far. just that $695 fee stings this month hitting the card
My Amex platinum rational: $200 flight credit; $15 a month Uber reimbursement; $20 "streaming" monthly reimbursement; Free Global entry, TSA pre, and Clear; hotel status. I booked my PJ Europe flight through them and got $200. There are other things. I'm not an Amex shill, but if you use these things it covers the fee.

I don’t frequent the board much these days. Sounds like maybe an announcement is coming? Sadly at this point I hope my Oakland shows get pushed to the fall. Giving fans with busy lives two months notice is unacceptable. I don’t think most us care about the money, PJ concerts are a big deal for a lot of us, we’ve traveled the country and even the world cause the experience is so special. There’s a lot of moving parts for most of us though, work travel, ability to get time off, babysitting, etc. Frustrating not even knowing if I’ll be able to attend these shows after looking forward to them for 2 years running.
Just checked my e-mail and I received………….a USFL ticket drop. Now that’s exciting

Just my opinion but if they are playing Ohana I can’t see them playing 5 shows in California in the fall.
The rumoured Vegas show on May 20th and the rumour the spring tour would be completed by Memorial Day also ties California to the spring.

Why do people think PJ is playing Ohana? They never do festivals two years in a row and already have three SoCal arena shows (SD and LAx2), and played Ohana three times last fall. Ed is obviously going to be there but I don’t see PJ playing there again this year.
If the September and October rumours are true from the last couple pages, this seems like a logical break in the tour.

I wish I could bet on PJ being the Sunday Lolla headliner. No idea why this would affect their own announcement (bands announce tours with 'Lolla gaps' all the time), but I am absolutely expecting it to happen.
LA dates could be whenever since it's the Forum and they're pretty much wide open in May. But they would likely combine that with OAK and SD I assume. Viejas Arena (SD) only has stuff booked for mid-May. OAK only has a few things as well.
All three of these places dont have pro teams so they may be more ready.

I do find it interesting that the 'lapse' email focuses on the fact that the 'rescheduled dates' will be announced soon, but doesn't mention new dates - though I guess the 'exciting year ahead' hints at that. It does make me wonder if there will be a tenclub lottery on the rescheduled dates? I had ruled that out. Announcing all the dates at once AND improving the seat location for those who hung onto tickets for rescheduled dates AND holding another lottery for the refunded tickets would sure be a good reason for delay in announcing.
