Agreed and that's why it's not the band just being lazy with an announcement. They sent out the update in early November right before Omicron hit and somewhat upended things for two months. Thankfully that has subsided but it had to be a factor with the insurance coverage and commitments needed. They likely had a plan, were thrown a curveball again and had to reassess. The tour is happening in 2022 they just have to figure out when.pjhawks said:while yes March is still early 2022 I don't think any reasonable person thought it would be into March before an announcement.Mansfield 6/30/08 - Wrigley Field 7/14/13 - Worcester I 10/15/13 - Global Citizen 9/26/15 - MSG II 5/2/16 - Fenway I 8/5/16 - Fenway II 8/7/16 - Fenway II 9/4/18 - LA I 5/6/22 - LA II 5/7/22 - MSG 9/11/22 - Nashville 9/16/22 - St. Paul I and II 8/31/23-9/2/23 - Napa 5/25/24 - MSG I 9/3/24 - MSG II 9/4/24 - Hollywood FL I 4/24/25 - Hollywood FL II 4/26/250

Maybe they should tell their fans that.

On a positive note, tickets are going to be easy to get if they wait any longer for a May tour. They're going to have a hard time filling arenas so maybe they'll have to scale down to playing small sheds / larger theaters. (Not much longer BTW)0

The omnicron excuse is pretty weak considering Eddie just toured....I have tickets to Jack White in April...other bands touring in April/May/June/July/Aug/etc.... heck my brother just bought tickets to see Duran Duran at the end of August. And he just had to pay for them...not 2 years ago. It's time to shit or get off the pot.estarr31 said:

            1) The early 2022 language exists ONLY because Ed wanted to squeeze in the Earthlings tour and 10c needed to say something about the tickets that had already been sold before selling new ones.
 2) Ed seemed to think weeks ago that spring shows had already been announced.
 3) The delay is almost certainly due to new shows being slotted in alongside the reschedules. New shows means new tickets, and that means new dollars. Money is what matters to the business side of the band.

The lotto for some of these cities is going to be insane. Reschedules will likely not have lottos(hope I am wrong) and the new shows sprinkled in will all be fighting with each other.vedpunk said:On a positive note, tickets are going to be easy to get if they wait any longer for a May tour. They just need to announce the dates already. Rip the band aid off. I'm all for being safe & following protocols, but this has been dragging for a long time.I LOVE MUSIC.

Agreed. Ed's tour really blows up any Covid-related excuse for this.cincybearcat said:

Exactly. If its new cities/venues they could simply put out an announcement along the lines of "Please excuse the announcement delay of the North American tour as we are working on securing additional shows in new cities."1STmammal2wearPants said:

Guys we are a week or two away from knowing by default. We should all know May is happening. We all want better communication and no one likes waiting. Hopefully by Friday the hype train has begun!0

The only reason I haven't request for a refund for St Louis or Nashville yet is because I want to see what dates they get rescheduled for....the one with least vacation days I keep. The other now has to go I think. Sucks.hippiemom = goodness0

I am not defending anything the band has done in the last two years with announcements and communication. It is so frustrating as a fan. Then again I do not have to plan out 30 shows or so during a pandemic with Omicron raging.JimmyV said:

I don't really think so. Ed's tour went public around the same time as the PJ-tour update. Tickets went on sale first week of Dec I think?JimmyV said:

It was also a much smaller tour with easier to manage conditions (smaller crew and city conflicts).
The timing of a release could have been delayed a few weeks to see how things played out, just to make sure.
 Also, plenty of bands toured in 2021. PJ even played a bit. So it's not the same.Mansfield 6/30/08 - Wrigley Field 7/14/13 - Worcester I 10/15/13 - Global Citizen 9/26/15 - MSG II 5/2/16 - Fenway I 8/5/16 - Fenway II 8/7/16 - Fenway II 9/4/18 - LA I 5/6/22 - LA II 5/7/22 - MSG 9/11/22 - Nashville 9/16/22 - St. Paul I and II 8/31/23-9/2/23 - Napa 5/25/24 - MSG I 9/3/24 - MSG II 9/4/24 - Hollywood FL I 4/24/25 - Hollywood FL II 4/26/250

But then again....a lot of bands have done just that.PJNB said:
