a friend of mine is married to a guy who slowly got crazier and crazier over the pandemic about anti-vaccination. when she got her first shot along with their kids, he refused to be in the same house as them for a whole week because of "protein shedding". Same thing with the second shot. Then mutual friends saw on the news a quote from him, full name and everything, comparing anti-vaxxers to Rosa Parks. "at least she had a seat on the bus" was part of it.
She is seriously considering how she's going to stay married to this loon.

I had no option, it was the only shot I could get an appointment for (Javits Center NYC at 2:00 in the morning). I wanted to be vaccinated as soon as possible, I was ecstatic to get the appt.

As a weekly volunteer at a hospital, I was lucky to get an early vax on a day they had leftovers. Was very nice to get an email today that the booster is coming and Im almost at my 8 month window.
So after a year and a half of Taiwan being completely free of covid some pilots spread it in early May and it was made worse when horny old codgers spread it to 'tea houses'. Hundreds of cases a day hospitals getting full etc. you all know.

There is no bitching about masks or mandates. Everybody just wears a mask and bars and restaurants are not open. You could only shop every other day (depending if National ID ended in odd or even number). Every business you went into you had to scan a QR code (or had to sign in) and text the data where you went for contact tracing.
Up to I guess around 45% with one shot now. Been tough trying to get around China blocking us from getting Vaccines. The US and Japan in particular have been good about donating the vaccine.
