I missed out on this one and bummed as well - I understand the complaints coming in.  I'm not a marketing person, but for me the fan base, especially the club members, should be the focus.  If there are items that they know are going to be in high demand, like this one - why not just make it a "pre-order" instead of a "limited item" and keep the members happy instead of frustrated?  I would rather that approach than just have a bunch of "dinosaur" items rotting away in the shop that no one seems to want due to lack of quality or general interest - just seems like a miss to me and wasteful.  I get this is a business - it is just tough for a group of passionate people to digest.  This is really not the of the world - just a head scratcher for me - not understanding the groups approach or rational - similar to the Benny Vinyl - just release it for gods sakes, change the cover for the collectors purpose or something - we just want to be able to listen to it on vinyl - lol

Regardless of vinyl color,   What is the difference between this and the 2016 reissue?   Both claim to be mastered by Ludwig?  Although he didn’t cut the 2016…?   I don’t think he cuts vinyl anymore?

Is this truly a new mastering spread over 2 LPs?    I’m confused….  Is this new cut from analog tapes?   Nothing seems “clear” about this…?

I was going to make this point last night but couldn't quite formulate the words.    If it's a terribly designed Halloween shirt, a growler (?!) that nobody asked for or wanted, or a StReAmInG eVeNt then we can all fill our boots and throw money their way to our collective hearts' content..   I can't scroll down my FB timeline without being reminded to buy a 3 year old Missoula show.    But a (first?) colour variant pressing of one of the band's most beloved records?   Be online all day, or go fuck yourself apparently.    Just doesn't make sense......

A simple 'Pssst - something cool coming on Date/Time so be sure to check in then...' would be more than enough.   It's not going to ruin any of our days if it turns out to be growler or a shirt - but at least give your paying members a fighting chance?

Probably no difference at all from 2016 to be honest.  And it’s a 1LP.

I want one for sure because of the different color but this isn't an audiophile release.  I’d love for No Code get the 45 RPM Analogue Productions treatment but im not even sure that’s possible.

Black for sure, but haven't seen any Target "exclusive" come through yet. I'll let you know. Embargo lifted btw. It is a one LP release (new art below). Also this is interesting from the setup info:

"The previously active version of this item (Sel# 88875188981) included one of four sets of nine random replica polaroid’s/lyric cards. This version has just one fixed set of nine polaroid’s."

No confirmation, but I would highly expect that the pressing is identical to the 2016 release. If I find out definitively, I will update.

Seems to me had this been released for RSD a few days prior many would have felt they at least a chance. This was a Ten Club exclusive that was not sold on the 10th, as they went with the Growler/Tumbler instead as the feature merchant item. Being how revered No Code is here, they should have put it in the newsletter on the 10th as a heads up or just sold it then.

Anything is possible… but the purple ten actually had the Target exclusive sticker on the album photo in the shop listing. I’m not seeing that with No Code.   I’m guessing the August release will be just the black vinyl.

Anyone who thinks they should have pressed enough of these for every Ten Club member doesn't realize how many Ten Club members there are and that only a fraction collect records, which would leave them with thousands or tens of thousands of extra records.

I didn't get one.  I'll just get the black vinyl on 8/13.  If you are that big a collector that you have to have clear vinyl, then I bet you can afford it on ebay or sell / trade something you have to find one.

I’m kinda glad I missed it after thinking about it. Why no bonus tracks?  It literally seems exactly like the 2016 reissue except clear. Still super fucking annoying loyal fans that want to spend money on their band have zero chance of getting this unless on secondary market. It seems things are trending toward the PJ BRAND more than I’d ever care to admit. Consistent merch cash grabs, very few shows, no more annual vinyl single etc. Didn’t think I’d ever type that here.

Also: economy of scale and the fact that they’ve been in this game long enough means that this really should t be an issue.

I can get the frustration over missing out on an item.  I’ve missed out many times.

But I don’t really buy into the “cash grab” idea.  They could release waaaay more merch if they really wanted to milk the fan base.  Releasing a few new items every couple months doesn’t really feel like a cash grab to me.  I think it’s more like they release items here and there to keep us on the hook between tours when they really pump out the merch and make a ton of money.

It's not a logic thing.  It's a limited edition thing.  Limited edition means not everyone will get it.  If you collect limited stuff and you MUST have the clear vinyl, you can buy it on the secondary market or trade something else you have that you don't care about as much.

Do you care about all of your limited edition/PJ merch equally?

I find that hard to believe, but it's not a matter of logic.

If you're so selective in your purchases, would you really have bought this yesterday, immediately, when it said it is coming out on 8/13...or would you have thought about just picking it up at a store to save on shipping and the time it takes Ten Club to ship things?

People are understandably upset that they missed it, but people would also be complaining if they bought it and it was available at Target, like purple Ten was.

It's the internet, and people will complain no matter what.  Like I said, there's no way to make a limited edition record for all 10 club members.

I ended up being able to place an order through that merchbar site, and they cancelled it.  That's worth complaining about IMO, but it's also not the end of my world.

No, it absolutely is misplaced logic on your part.   You've incorrectly assumed that I or anyone else who wanted to own a copy of this particular record has the means to just go and buy one at an inflated price from the secondary market.    I literally just told you that some of us are selective and don't rush to buy any old 'limited edition' release.

Of course I'd have jumped at this yesterday - there was a very clear implication that the clear variant was exclusive to 10C.  This fact makes me no less 'selective' in my purchasing choices. I have no interest in owning another black vinyl general release copy.    I don't see why this is so hard to understand...

Sorry.  I get what you're saying.  I collect stuff and am selective as well.  We disagree, and that's okay.  I didn't intend to imply you had the means to buy whatever you want and could've stated things better.

People collect differently and use different reasoning.  If I wanted this or something bad enough, I would consider selling something that I don't care about as much, especially since some collectors do buy multiples of things to keep.  I often buy 2 copies of a record, one to spin and one to keep sealed.  If I really wanted this, I'd consider selling/trading something I have like an extra record or a poster sitting in a flatfile.  I picked up a second copy of backspacer when I saw one a few months ago, knowing it is out of print and that maybe I could trade it for something I can't afford or miss out on.

That's what I meant, but I guess it's also just me.  I shouldn't have generalized that anyone would do that or assume that you have things you'd part with for this.

Or wait to post it on FB until after the email disseminiates.    It seemed to be for sale for a bit after I got the email, but once it showed up in my FB feed the demand grew exponentially.

I'm not sure I believe in the wait for X time for it to go on sale, because we're crazy, and we'll probably crash the website.   But waiting an hour for the email to disseminate before posting on social media wouldn't hurt.   Also not sure how much that would do, because people were also posting about it in the social media groups.

It’s been a practice for a very long time that Santos gives a heads up here when stuff drops and it’s usually at 1pm eastern time.

I understand that, in my opinion it is an unfair practice. All members should have the same shot, not just those who can F5 this board. It's not like it drops at 12 noon exactly every day...to actually do this you'd have to sit here from at least 11:30-12:30 if not a wider window.

It’s been a practice for a very long time that Santos gives a heads up here when stuff drops and it’s usually at 1pm eastern time.
Shhhhh. But now that that one is out of the bag, let's keep the other drop time a secret.

A historical example on pre-order communication. Talk about burying the headline.

Also bizarre to realize the date on this.  Is there something special about June 15th?

Seattle - Twelve years ago, Pearl Jam performed a rare acoustic show
for MTV as part of the “Unplugged” series. Although the performance
was never officially released, it continues to be one of the band's
most bootlegged shows. On July 27th, 2004, Pearl Jam fans can satiate
their acoustic appetites with the band's first ever full-length,
mostly acoustic live show on a double disc CD entitled “Live at
    Benaroya Hall October 22, 2003.”

”Live at Benaroya Hall October 22, 2003” will feature the band's 2+
hour, sold-out performance on October 22, 2003 at the intimate
2,500-seat venue which marked the first live performance of Pearl
Jam’s Golden Globe nominated song “Man of the Hour” as well as
acoustic covers of Bob Dylan’s “Masters of War”, the Ramones’ “I
Believe in Miracles” and Johnny Cash’s “25 Minutes to Go.” The full
set list from the evening follows:

Pre-orders for the CD will be available at www.pearljam.com beginning
June 21 for $13USD. Only CDs ordered through the Pearl Jam Ten Club
will include a special poster featuring a photo of the band taken at
the Benaroya show by renowned photographer Charles Peterson. A special
limited edition vinyl box set will also be available through the

band's website only and will also include the poster.
