I guess it's just been a while since I've seen saw 'new shows booked' as it's all been cancellation news for the past bit.

Kanye West just announced Soldier Field next week. It's just strange to announce something while everyone else is cancelling.
… the man’s looking to do his third album listening party. Don’t get me wrong, I’m intrigued, but it’s not a live show and that makes it all the more confusing.

his reasoning just doesn't make sense. he wants to protect those that can't go to shows, but they couldn't anyway since it was sold out.

this was about optics more than anything. but now he's pissed off how many people that were expecting to see him?

Seeing Brandi Carlisle on Friday at spectacular Thompson’s Point in Portland, Maine.

Folks have to show proof of vax or negative Covid test - but children under 12 are exempt.

I wondered if Neil's decision stemmed from a disagreement over instituting Covid protocols, but I see Farm Aid has adopted the same vax or negative rules most others have. Strange. We have tickets for that show and it is a disappointment, but I honestly don't know if he is right and everyone else is wrong.

30 days until Pearl Jam hits the stage again for the first time in over 3 years!!

Also, there are plenty of acts going on full tours at the moment.

One or two outliers here and there pulling out of a festival or canceling a show does not indicate a mass shutdown or cancelation of concerts again

I would be willing to bet that there are other factors that lead up to those decisions and that they are not 100% covid related (as someone said with Garth his fans would crucify him if he mandated vaccines)

I don't know what's going to happen. My bet is most of these shows will go on as scheduled. BUT...I would not consider Neil Young an outlier when it comes to this band.

Here in Toronto, Arkells are reopening the Budweiser Stage this weekend. Believe capacity's been capped at about 12,000 - normal capacity's 16,000 - and people are required to wear masks. I'll be at the Saturday show, and I cannot frigging wait.
I will be there as well.  Can’t wait.  Are you seated or lawn?
We were seated! 203 row G on Saturday. Frigging fantastic night.

Budweiser Stage is a great spot for a test run: it's wide open and the winds were blowing the entire night. The crowd was generally respectful of masking requirements, although lots of people shed them upon entry. Easiest exit from BS I can remember in a long, long while, even with the pedestrian bridge closed.

It was amazing and yes Budweiser stage is a great test venue for how its situated.

Full disclosure I took my mask off once I entered, however  I was encouraged too as people were saying it’s a crime to keep my beautiful face covered up.   I can’t argue with what the people want. 😂😂

NIN cancelled all of their remaining 2021 shows

Its going to be Vaxxed shows or cancel them for the next 2 years.  Up to each band how they choose to proceed.

Still feel that SHN and Ohana will happen with the vaccination requirement as well as the PJ Spring 2022 tour

It is this day to day "are the shows on, are the shows going to be off" type of stuff, along with the looming possibility of added mandates on top of proof of vax (i.e. masks outdoors) that are sucking the fun and enjoyment out of this, for me anyway.  I know many others feel differently.  Being a little over a month away from Ohana I should be amped, especially after a 3 year hiatus.  Hopefully I get to that point eventually.

It is a stressful time for sure. Whether it's stressing that shows are going to happen or stressing about getting a positive test and not being allowed to flying back to Canada it seems to never end. One thing for certain though. When I go to my next PJ concert it will be a celebration.

2 years?  who really knows?  could be 5 or more.  the longer people refuse to get a shot the longer it goes on.

Beginning October 17th, anyone attending a concert at DMV venues including The Anthem, 9:30 Club, Merriweather Post Pavilion, and Lincoln Theatre will need to provide proof of full vaccination status to enter: cos.lv/lupB30rRxfa

Additional safety considerations come from Washington DC Mayor Muriel Bowser. Guests must wear a mask at all times inside of The Anthem, 9:30 Club, and Lincoln Theatre, unless they are eating or drinking. This rule does not extend to Merriweather Post Pavilion, which is outside and 30 miles away in Maryland.

Kings of Leon had to cancel their show yesterday same day.

It’s why traveling far distances for shows right now is so risky; you may get the ticket refunded but not airfare or hotel.

If you’re a local it’s ok but anyone traveling right now is taking a gamble.
