Lol sure man. He's the king of both sidesing nonsense. Clearly the Trump people would have LOVED if their boycott lead to enough of a drop in ratings that the NFL downgraded their national tv schedule or something. There was no chance of that happening but that would've been utopia for those fucking hypocrites.tempo_n_groove said:

They did succeed in getting the league to blackball Kaepernick (get the son of a bitch out of there!) the hell out of the league for taking a knee for 60 seconds. Meanwhile they look the other way at the Trump insurrectionists violently trying to overthrow the government. There is no greater hypocrite than the Trump "Conservative Republican."Post edited by The Juggler onwww.myspace.com0 -
There’s nothing Trumpers hate more than disrespecting the flag, unless you’re disrespecting the flag for police:The Juggler said:

Also, they like trying to overturn the results of our free and fair election more than they like protecting and supporting and not assaulting or killing police. It’s quite the circle jerk of patriotism, really.0 -
think they were under a consent decree several years ago?

The outcome was completely different. Even by your statement you suggest the goal was probably to downgrade their TV schedule, and not ban NFL. I don’t even think that was the goal, but rather for the NFL commission to enforce the national anthem, and not to cancel anything.
But either way, there’s a difference between expressing your opinion or even boycotting, vs a complete ban and eliminating anyone from viewing it. If it were the same and the NFL was “canceled” there’d be no NFL. That’s the whole meaning of canceling something, not just make the ratings suffer a few points.Post edited by mace1229 on0 -
When there’s zero substance and just an attack, it’s just a sign they have nothing to ad but can’t admit it.tempo_n_groove said:

bullying to boycott is actually exactly what cancel culture is; whether it be boycotting a physical product, an actor, a politician, etc. it's all the same. it doesn't matter the scale of the intent, or how successful a campaign is or isn't going to be, just the intent to make something or someone either go away or change their practice through social pressure.Your boos mean nothing to me, for I have seen what makes you cheer0

Agree -- it is one of the few benefits of the COVID situation....in-law presence is reduced to distance visits every 6 weeks or so.The love he receives is the love that is saved0 -
Mine lives about 1,800 miles away in Arizona so I don't have to see her. However due to the magic of telephones and social media, she is a grade A PITA.F Me In The Brain said:JeBurkhardt said:

I'm clearly in the minority, my wife's parents love me, and I enjoy going to visit them.
It helps that my sister in law dates a complete deadbeat.

It's weird. When we first got married, her Dad was a PITA, but her Mom was OK. Over the years, before her Dad died, he actually got easier to deal with and her Mom got flakier and flakier. It is almost like a slow Freaky Friday deal.Merkin Baller said:I'm clearly in the minority, my wife's parents love me, and I enjoy going to visit them.

My in laws are great to me, they are just idiots who are oblivious to reality. Worst part about having a pool. All summer (in Non-COVID times) they are here. The love he receives is the love that is saved0
