Well i agree with her here.  Putting sex toys next to children's toothbrushes seems rather bizarre.

    It's bizarre, no doubt.

    Is it real?

I looked closely for issues,  but didn't see any.  But not my expertise by any means.

But is it “grooming?” And if so, “grooming” for what? Maybe Matt Getts Off can explain it?

    Me neither.

I'm surprised to hear that Walmart is selling sex toys at all, considering the rep they used to have about not carrying music w/ explicit lyrics. Maybe all that's out the door these days / in recent years, I don't know.

It's grooming if 'grooming' means having sex on network tv, access to the internet and the millions of other sexual things kids are exposed to each day.

I disagree.  Mom's put kids in carts and walk around stores.  Kids point out the toothbrush they want, as it makes it less likely they'll fight you about brushing teeth.  There's really no good defense for putting dildos next to kids tbs.  Put them someplace else.. It's common sense.
  • Where were all these concerns about grooming when the catholic church was having a free for all with the altar boys?

This has nothing to do with protecting kids and is 100% about demonizing certain segments of our population.
  • Tell you what.  I had to look twice because I did not think they were sex toys.  I'm googling walmart and adult toys now...

    Holy shit, they sell them!

I laughed at took a picture, shared with people, when I saw the dildos/vibrators in CVS recently
They were there in plain sight.
I don't think they should sell in plain sight but it isn't the end of the world.
Was a surprise, but it wasn't anything I didn't anything other laugh about.  I would just tell my son it is an adult thing.
When he is old enough, I am fine with telling him what adults use then for.  No big deal.

Demonizing which segment?  I think all segments use dildos.

it usually goes like this in an aisle at a pharmacy...

family planning(to include battery operated devices) then into diapers and other assorted baby shit. at the end along a perpendicular wall are the beer coolers....

When I hear 'groomer' from the likes of MGT, I infer it's an attack on the LGBTQ community. Maybe that's just me, but they are a pretty popular target of the far right nowadays. I'm also not convinced that MGT gives a f about children.

With all that being said... if that's real, WTF Walmart?

Oh right, yes the statement "groomer" is an attack.  I agree.

and those kids would likely be at an age where they wouldn't have a clue what a dildo is, and wouldn't take a second look.

Maybe they would, but maybe they wouldn't.  Declaring what every child would or would not do is an exercise in futility.  Either way, there's no defensible reason to put them THERE.  If the only defense is that kids wouldn't ask or take a second look, that's not a good argument.

Maybe the firearms displays took up too much floor space and they were the only place management could squeeze them in?

Shit, put the booze, firearms and dildos all together.  That would be a hellluva party.
