    These people have no shame.

The rest of the world blames Putin.
    Putin blames Ukraine.
Trump Republicans blame.... Joe Biden. Unreal.

Putin is the actor, so clearly he's ultimately responsible for his actions.

But, you understand that Biden is President and his actions have created the climate for this to occur?  Why didn't it happen the prior 4 years?  Actions do have repercussions. We are now no longer energy independent, W. Europe relies too much on Russian oil and we've taken any real impact sanctions off the table or threatened them in such a way as to entice invasion.

Biden polices are to blame. Who else would you blame?

Your ignoring Biden's part is like ignoring the parents' responsibility in the recent school shooting. Yeah, they didn't pull the trigger, but they put the gun in his hand. He's ultimately responsible, but they're to blame.
You answered your own question about why it didn't happen during Trump - because people, particularly republicans, will blame Biden. Putin wants a republican president in place in 2024 because the party more closely aligns with his belief system.

And if you’re importing around 10 million barrels of oil a day, you’re not energy independent.

It did not happen for a combination of potential reason:

    1. Th Russian military wasn’t prepared
    2. The Russian treasury has been preparing itself to be as protected from sanctions as possible.  I don’t think you can underestimate how important this is.
    3. Covid in 2020 and until now made an invasion impossible, due to protecting his own troops
    4. Xi would not allow it until after the Olympics.  You think it was a coincidence that Crimea was invaded immediately after the Sochi Olympics?
    5. Trump was doing Putin a favor by undermining NATO on his own.  That’s a key objective of Putin, kneecap NATO and divide the West.  Trump did that.

I think it’s absurd to think that Putin didn’t invade because he feared Trump.  He has never said anything to indicate he supported Ukraine and his own words this week remind us of that.  Do you honestly think Trump would have deployed US soldiers in Ukraine.  No way.

So you prefer a Russian mafia sympathizer like Trump ? You think it’s better to sympathize with a murderous criminal like Putin than to stand up for freedom and liberty?

if you have proof that Biden is responsible for Western Europe energy procurement, or certain sanctions are permanently “off the table”please leave such proof here. Otherwise kindly leave misinformation off the forum as we all want to abide by the strict “name calling” rules and posting misinformation about Biden in a time of crisis and supporting the former president who is a sympathizer to a murderous dictator warrants extreme rule breaking here. There is nothing less American than that.
    Lol.

I do love this echo chamber's interpretation of anyone who goes against their leader.

I mean - the very first thing I said is Putin is responsible.

How do you interpret stuff so badly?  Did you go to NYC Public School?

    Lol.
Sorry. The world doesn't work the way you tell it to.

ah, the same old "echo chamber" followed by an intelligence insult. you didn't address anything in their post. you refuse to acknowledge any hand trump had in this, being the incompetent puppet of putin for 4 years.

sure, all biden's policy, like this was all planned out by putin in 12 months. he has been setting the stage for this for years, obviously. but nope, just like the economy, come inauguration day, it's all his doing.

Do you agree with the far right who say if Trump was in office Putin wouldn’t invade?
If you think Puting is doing this to make Biden look weak to get a Republican back in, you would have to agree with that, right?

Putin's ambition goes way beyond anything that Trump could stop by 'being nice'.  Let me put the question back to you; if Putin ran this invasion, do you think Trump would be putting American boots on the ground?

No, no boots. At least not yet. If this goes beyond Ukraine then yes.
I’ve said before that Putin would invade whether it’s Biden or Trump in office.
But I see every comment that says this wouldn’t happen if Trump was in office get a lot of flack. But I see as many posts saying Putin is doing this to make Biden look bad to get Trump back and those get very little response. Aren’t they essentially saying the same thing though?

putin used trump to try to divide the west and weaken nato. he's not using this to get trump back in office (I'm sure he'd take that as a bonus though). he would have invaded no matter who was in office. but trump being the patsy for 4 years was key.

To make Biden look bad? That is a ridiculous notion. He's been planning this for two decades. Trump was his stooge. He helped get him elected because he knew Trump would weaken NATO and divide the US for four straight years which, in Putin's mind, made this invasion easier.

I haven't seen anyone say that.  You'd have to be pretty ethnocentric to think Putin's moves are shaped by US domestic politics.  Anyone that says that is a fool.

Cmon that's not Biden's fault.  I mean if it weren't for Biden you would probably burn your tongue more cause coffee would be more readily available and less expensive.
