Thats why the Chinese are kicking your ass.  That don't waste work hours on a bands website...hell no.  They spend time on world domination..
Oh please.  Give me a break. Why aren't you adding to the GDP right now.
You don't laugh much do you...lol. It's called retirement.  And I don't spend my money on useless material things...
It's literally impossible to know when you're kidding, if that's a joke.

The reason China is winning is because they manipulate their currency,  oppress their workers,  repress dissent and hold down wages to their peasant population.  It's not because white collar workers might hang on a band website during the day.
They also start global pandemics and get away with it 😬😬
Yeah no shit. We have no recourse either.
    Yup. It’s a shame.
Sadly Americans that choose not to get vaxxed will face more consequences than Chyna.

    I meant GYNA!

The crazy thing about Gosar is his family fucking hates him. His daughter (and maybe other family members) actively worked against his campaign.

Joe's approval rating continues to plummet, folks. He should push for federal marijuana legalization or something. Get people back on his side.

The Democrats have terrible messaging.  The infrastructure fight went on so long that everyone forgot about it. Worse, they pass it AFTER election day.  That's idiotic.  You pass it two weeks before to campaign on it.  Unfortunately the far left and the two senators had their heads up their collective asses.

It is strange... unemployment is low, jobs are high, pandemic is abetting quickly, stock market is at a record, GDP  will be doulbe this year compared to last year, and yet only 30% of people have a positive outlook on the economy.  I'm sorry, that is crazy.  I know inflation is up right now but that is absolutely temporary and connected to the supply chain.  All this tells me that we have a messaging issue.

There's also a contradiction in place.  Can the economy be great and positive while the left pushes for transformational changes in our social structure?  It creates a paradox.  How do you run on a great economy while blasting it at the same time.

Yeah it's odd....and scary. Especially if this continues and we let tRump back in office.

The dems need to chill out and band together. Right now they are just giving the GOP ammo for taking back the House.

News has been replaced by political cartoons and memes to generate public opinion on a subject or person. Whoever can produce the snarkiest or attention grabbing "gotcha" moments ends up winning the day and the minds of the public. Until that changes, nothing else will change.

Yes, true.  I was also thinking that there's this embedded negativity in our culture, regardless of who is in power.  "Throw the bums out" seems to be the prevailing opinion even though our standard of living as a society just continues to improve. As I do for everything, I blame social media.

When it comes to kitchen table issues that get the voters in the booths, GDP and the stock market have nothing to do with the economy.  Inflation, the cost of groceries, cost of gas and stagnating wages are what gets swing voters to the polls.  All the messaging in the world about any of this being temporary won't hold water. Since when has anything the government said is temporary actually been?  Im with Ledbetterman, Dems need to push for legalization, maybe show that their policies will help ease the current frustrations facing the "folks" out there. It isn't crazy to have a negative outlook on the economy especially for millennials and zoomers that are the first generations in a long while to actually have it worse off in terms of creating net worth etc than their parents.

Of course pushing for programs that might actually help is easier said than done, especially with one party and two senators that don't want to see any progress.

It's unreal. My older daughter shared a link in our family text group to a CNN article about the Travis Scott concert. She said that someone was injecting people in the crowd, etc. The link made no reference whatsoever to injections...it discussed the crowd surge and people getting trampled.

Agreed!  But why would he?  He co-sponsored many of the strict racist drug regulations that are on the books today.

Not to mention they passed it in the middle of a Friday night when nobody is paying attention. Then instead of having a Rose Garden ceremony during a beautiful stretch of weather, he talks to the country from inside the White House.

There are big accomplishments this year that nobody is talking about because the republicans are just better at politics/messaging.

Yes, your last line is exactly my point.
