    He had the option to address and diffuse this while everyone was focused 100% on COVID but his team is taking the gamble on waiting it out.  I can see +/- for both approaches.

    Fox New is running full court press on the Tara accusation.  I don't see any coverage on ABC, NBC, CBS, or CNN (which would be 'no duh' except for the Larry King angle).  But Fox News probably has viewership equal to those other 4 networks combined.

    I agree on the Senate papers, but he should sit down for an interview and offer some explanation. Better to get it out of the way sooner than later. Even if it's a softball interview with a handpicked MSNBC interviewer that can help him through the interview and try to ensure he come out looking good.

    It's usually connected to the actual retirement of public life.  Gore still has never released his, to my knowledge.  Romney sealed his before he ran for president.  I don't believe Kerry opened his up either.  While the intention is for historians, it's ripe for misuse by political operatives, obviously.

    Splitting hairs? I read the original NYT and WaPo articles and came to the same conclusion. Sexual harassment, made to feel uncomfortable, asked to serve drinks, inappropriate touching? Maybe. Sexual assault? Not likely that it happened for all the reasons I've previously listed.

    I expect Team Trump Treason to remain mum, even if asked, and allow his surrogates to keep hammering away at Sleepy Woke Joe. That's how a whisper campaign is designed to work. The Pakistani news agency report of the after midnight podcast of the original allegation gets picked up by the wire services and the opposition keeps screaming until the lame stream media picks it up and reports on it, as is happening now. All for someone who has "been trying to tell her story since 1993," and has, "no intention of filing a civil suit." Justice, political style.
