Spiritual? That you? From WaPo comments:

Biden’s most important feature last time was his “electability”, his possibility to oust Donald Trump.

    Is he still electable?

Today is the whole world watching, waiting for Biden to screw up again.

The elite of foreign reporters around the globe are analyzing how Biden is walking, analyzing his gaze and how he expresses himself.

    And it’s not looking good!

I don’t feel sorry for him, this is a big ego and bad judgment combined with bad advisors. Biden could have stepped back, endorsed a younger candidate and been remembered as one of the most important players in US politics for 50 years. He will now instead be remembered as a foolish old man who totally blew it.

The democrats now needs to show some guts. Make sure Biden steps down. Decided on another candidate and skip personal ambitions and rivalry. The two latest polls are showing Harris in front of Trump even if she hasn’t been allowed to shine . The VP is demonized by right wing media , as expected. What I didn’t expect was mainstream media repeatedly describing her as unpopular. The Democratic Party must team up up behind the candidate ( in my opinion Harris) all the important players the Obama’s, the Clinton’s , Clooney, Newson… convince Taylor Swift to join.

Kill Trump in the advertising .

This isn’t about personal ambition this is about the responsibility one must show when one has accepted a leading position in the most powerful nation on planet earth

A comment from a worried Swede

How is it fascinating? It’s a guy that moved his head while speaking and avoided something hitting it. This happens in literally everyday life. “Wow, if I hadn’t moved my foot at that second, those scissors would have severed my toe”. Those circumstances happen literally every day to everyone on earth.

True story: Twice in my life (two different people, two different occasions) someone I was working with threw a hammer off a high place (a roof and a scaffolding) and both times those hammers missed my head by a couple of inches.  Sorry, MAGA fans, but that neither makes me a hero, a saint, an angel, or a perspective leader.  It just means I was lucky.  THAT'S All!

So you say you had someone throw a hammer at you TWICE on 2 separate occasions from a high location that just missed your head  and you say you are lucky???
Interesting perspective if you think you were just lucky…

That's not exactly what he said.  He said someone threw a hammer off of a roof, not AT him.  Maybe that's what he meant, but in construction, people throw shit from high places all of the time.

Weird to think an assassination attempt is positive and inspiring as opposed to being amused by a “fan’s” reaction in the immediate aftermath. But such is the cult.

Right, I find the whole thing depressing.  I mean this is a lone wolf kid, a loner, picked on, super smart but obviously emotionally unstable.  It seems like he's a Sirhan Sirhan, someone just wanting to make a mark on the world after never amounting to anything and being hopeless.  It's the furthest thing from positive and inspiring, to me.

Party leaders think he will drop, maybe as soon as this weekend.  I'm so glad I'm not in a political cult, where we are putting the country and party ahead of the man.  Seems obvious and it was the norm for 240 years... not anymore.

Yeah it won't be long before the conspiracy theories start.

Did Biden really have Covid? Was it just an excuse for him to reverse his defiance?

Did Obama infect Biden with Covid so that Michelle could run in his place?

And of course it’s too soon to ask what is wrong with a country and it’s society that a 20 year old would believe they have nothing to live for but seeing how they can just borrow pop’s weapon of war and can go out by suicide by cop and be famous? Guns, ready access and complete lack of accountability and “responsibility” for them is a taboo subject. Worse than sex Ed. Depressing as hell. At least the “fan” shouting fuck you and flipping the bird in the immediate aftermath was amusing as much as telling.

Democrats call for Biden to step aside as nominee after debate disaster, COVID diagnosis

President Biden has so far rejected calls for him to step aside and allow Democrats to select a different nominee ahead of their national convention in Chicago next month. The president's disastrous debate performance sparked serious concerns within his own party about Biden's viability to run against Republican former President Trump in November.

Covered by: Danielle Wallace and Paul Steinhaus

Former President Barack Obama told his allies in recent days that he believes President Biden needs to reconsider his candidacy, The Washington Post reported Thursday, citing multiple people briefed on his thinking.

Obama reportedly has only spoken with Biden once since his disastrous debate performance last month. According to the Post, Obama has expressed serious concern to his allies, however, about the viability of Biden's candidacy and remains focused on preserving Biden's legacy.

In his discussions with others, Obama reportedly has emphasized that Biden alone can make the decision to step away from the race. Obama has also pushed back against the idea that he alone can influence Biden, his former vice president, to withdraw from his presidential re-election bid.

They were not trying to hit me.  They were lame brained workers not watching what they were doing.  So yeah, hella lucky, Linda, damn straight!

    POSITIVE AND INSPIRING.
I’m with you. It’s incredibly depressing and the reactions by both sides supporters are equally depressing.

Party leaders think he will drop, maybe as soon as this weekend.  I'm so glad I'm not in a political cult, where we are putting the country and party ahead of the man.  Seems obvious and it was the norm for 240 years... not anymore.
