Reason will disappoint me greatly but also impress me. Their writers span the spectrum of alleged Libertarians. Several are just Republicans. While in the comments they are accused of being Democrats by the readers, I don't see them espousing left of center policy. It's only the criticism of Trump that gets the readers fired up.
Speaking of things trending, "Joe Biden is Joe Biden" is trending now because that's what Pelosi said in regards to his allegation Like "Joe's gonna be Joe" in nature. The Dems just seem to get in their own way. You already have a likely baseless (or at least unprovable) allegation against Biden that really isn't much to worry about. But she can't help but put her foot in her mouth.
The pisser is if you read her quote you can tell what she meant, but good lord what a bad way to put it

Oh yeah when you listen to her, she didn’t say it in a “Joe will be Joe” manner...but that’s how it’ll be portrayed. Giving the other side ammo.
chris hayes reported on the biden accusations last night. now firechrishayes is trending number 1 on twitter.
And who are those that are "pushing" #firechrishayes? Putin on the ritz? Or legitimate, real life Sleepy Woke Joe supporters? Or real "dem" Bernie supporters?
Social media never influenced anyone to vote, ever.
But I thought evil Russian bots spread propaganda on American social media and that hurt Hillary in 2016. Well I guess we can scratch that off of Hillary’s excuse list, because social media never influenced anyone to vote ever.
hillary won the popular vote by over 3 million.
there is documented evidence that coordinated russian troll farms did influence the 2016 election. the gop committee chairpeople are even saying so.
I know. I’m saying how can Halifax say social media doesn’t influence voters when he’s one of the more vocal people here about Russian influence on our elections.
Because I was told that by some posters on here, despite my posting numerous fact based links to the contrary. Have you forgotten where I've stood for the past 5 years? Did I forget the thing all the kids are using? /s or is it s/? My apologies.
No clue what the bolded part is supposed to mean. But yeah, what was I thinking. Of course you're saying that Russian trolls are causing Hayes to trend.
No, I was asking the question, is it true Sleepy Woke Joe supporters, Bernie supporters or putin on the ritz?

Well of those three groups, I'd say it's mostly Joe supporters. But not just them as "Joe supporters." I bet there's Democratic Party and MSNBC loyalists who are looking at Hayes saying "Dude...you think Hannity would throw Trump under the bus like that? This is why their side wins. They're all on the same page."

Oh please. Get off the high horse. It's not like libertarianism is some political force for change in this country. It's nothing more than a protest vote.

but to attack every commenter on here? That makes you better?
you are the one living in a fantasy world where the American founders did not purposely construct a nationwide electoral system that only plausibly allows 2 candidates. Amash will most likely get zero electoral votes and his ONLY PURPOSE WILL BE TO PULL AWAY MODERATE VOTES FROM BIDEN IN SWING STATES.
thank you for joining team trump. This was his exact 2016 strategy. Argue with the men that wrote the constitution if you disagree with electoral reality
Are Libertarian votes moderate though? I think Amash hurts tRump more than Biden. Especially once Amash has to hug the libertarian platform.
No you are correct they are not.

Democrats? If they don’t like your email server or think a woman who kept her mouth closed for 30 years may have a bad thing to say about their guy? They’re much more likely to skip the election.

As a lifelong independent, I cannot overstate how much of a turnoff it is to hear Democrats constantly whining about other candidates being on the ballot.I understand the concern in the context of a Jill Stein or a Bernie third party run, but to hear the same laments about a former REPUBLICAN congressman who famously and publicly broke with Trump is over the top. Who are these left-leaning voters who are going to abandon Biden and flock to Amash? Why would anyone who was ever going to vote for Biden in the first place do that? It is much more likely that Amash will peel right-leaning voters disgusted with Trump away from him.
I’ll say it again. Republican get in line. There was a recording of him using a phrase that would possibly get me banned from this forum, among a score of other disgusting things he did. Now we know he used campaign dollars to bribe a porn star because he had unprotected sex with her while married moments after his wife delivered his son. And his lawyer who facilitated payment is sitting in jail for this crime and nobody cares. What proof does it take to show proof to independents that Rs will show up to vote for dog poop? It’s not about the left or the right, Dems or repubs. It’s about the middle, the indys. And indys have a foot in both sides, waiting to see where to move and firmly place one of their feet.
Perot stuck it to the repubs, Nader to the dems. A third party candidate will never, ever have a chance in a presidential election. Ever.

Yea, I google Team Trump Treason’s Tweet for the shit show and to verify that he actually tweeted what was posted or reported on, because you can’t rely on social media as accurate (100% it’s what he tweeted) but I don’t have twitter nor do I follow anyone. I’ve also looked up who some tweeters are in an effort to discern if they’re real or not. I never claimed to “not have stopped by” to observe the shit show.

Yeah as someone that doesn’t interact with others on twitter, it works fine for me. Basically my timeline is updates on the Phillies and Pearl Jam.

I won't defend anyone who voted for Trump, not for a second, but I will say that many if not most who voted for him did so believing he was going to lose that election. It's easy to get in line when you don't think there will be any repercussions.

I can’t even use the s word on here.
Rs will still vote for trump.
Dems, they got scared off by that mean email server and Tara Reade is probably getting money and coaching from conservative groups, because,
they know it works against democratic candidates.
I won't defend anyone who voted for Trump, not for a second, but I will say that many if not most who voted for him did so believing he was going to lose that election. It's easy to get in line when you don't think there will be any repercussions.
Agreed....or they thought that he would put aside the bullshit if he was elected. It's been a nightmare but I still can't believe that there hasn't been an insider come out and just blow the roof off of what goes on behind the scenes. That surprises me.

chris hayes reported on the biden accusations last night. now firechrishayes is trending number 1 on twitter.
But do you know that? That they're mostly "Joe supporters?"
Well there's no way of knowing it one way or another, so it's just a matter of perspective. I look at this Chris Hayes trend and think "Crybaby liberals upset that one of their own dared to dissent for a moment." You might look at this Chris Hayes trend and think "Putin and the Ritz...at it again."
That’s why it shouldn’t be an indicator. Of anything. And given any kind of credence. I’m not on twitter and wouldn’t give it an ounce of anything. But to each their own.
I agree it shouldn’t be an indicator or anything. I follow bands and athletes on twitter and have never actually tweeted myself. And anything political on twitter is, as someone said above, a cesspool. But I’ve seen you post a screenshot or two (or more) of Trump’s tweets. Don’t act like you haven’t stopped by Twitter to observe the shit show. If I click on some political trend, that’s all I’m doing: observing the shit show.
Twitter is great as long as you curate a good feed and only interact positively. If someone is prone to getting into fights, they will definitely come to hate it.
Yeah as someone that doesn’t interact with others on twitter, it works fine for me. Basically my timeline is updates on the Phillies and Pearl Jam.
I had a great interaction with Jason Isbell and Deer Tick once over an old ticket stub. All social media is a mirror. You get back exactly what you put into it.

I wish I lived in a world where nobody cared what was trending on twitter. It's a cesspool.
I had a twitter account for about a month. It got nauseating so I dumped it.
Not a bad move. Twitter's shitty reputation is well-earned. Particularly in regards to what it has contributed to our political discourse. Anyone not seeing that is likely ensconced in a very safe bubble.
Good thing they're not Native Americans protesting a pipeline running through their backyard; otherwise they'd get the rubber bullets, water hoses and police dog treatment.

and I’ll apologize as I’ll probably be posting this a lot. Republicans get in line. They vote for their guy even if he raped or banged a porn star and there’s a 4k video of him doing it doing it. Even if they fount H2Ms pee tape, they will be there.
Democrats? If they don’t like your email server or think a woman who kept her mouth closed for 30 years may have a bad thing to say about their guy? They’re much more likely to skip the election.

Perot stuck it to the repubs, Nader to the dems. A third party candidate will never, ever have a chance in a presidential election. Ever.
