Would you vote for Biden if it's never proven to be true?
Not proven to be false. Just never proven to be true.
I'm not voting for Biden either way
What would it take to get you to vote for Biden?
Pick Jared Polis as VP? The Democrats this cycle, Biden included, haven't really focused on issues that I look to them for - less militarism, criminal justice reform, drug policy. There's been much more of a focus on stuff I disagree with - government run health care to varying degrees, student loan forgiveness, etc. A lot of stuff that I think is bad economic policy.
Thx for thoughtful answer.
What would it take to get you to vote for Trump?
I can't think of anything that could get me to vote for Trump
Every vote for Amash would be in effect a vote for trump.
I know you will point to history that Rs are more likely to vote libertarian. But that's old world logic.
In the current world Republicans fall in line. 2016 proved that. Ds need to fall in love. That's why dirty politics hurts Ds more.Amash is taking a huge risk and will only help trump
We are already seeing the attempt to prevent Ds from falling in love with Biden with the actions of Tara Email Server Reade.
She had 30 years to file charges, rally her "witnesses " or publicly attack Biden. But she doesnt attack til now.
Why would that be?
I just crunched the numbers and every vote for Amash would be a vote for Amash
how long does it take to crunch zero votes - I’ll be nice and give him 2.
Perhaps he will get the one ED allocation in ME or KS. 2 electoral votes would be a miracle.
We should buy you the beautiful blonde trump wig. And the Tara Reade memoirs, to commemorate these Election Day efforts for Donny Boy.
"I voted for Hillary Clinton in 2016. I voted for her in the primary. I'm a lifelong Democrat. But yet, what I see now is someone enabling a sexual predator and it was my former boss, Joe Biden, who raped me," Reade told Fox News. "Hillary Clinton has a history of enabling powerful men to cover up their sexual predatory behaviors and their inappropriate sexual misconduct. We don't need that for this country. We don't need that for our new generation coming up that wants institutional rape culture to change."
So she says she voted for Hillary in '16 despite her "history of enabling powerful men to cover up their sexual predatory behaviors...". She had no problem with her then, but now is criticizing her for endorsing Biden? You'd think someone who was actually sexually assaulted and really believes Hillary has that kind of history with sexual predators wouldn't even consider voting for her in the first place right? Weird...
strange....and she said she didn't come out about Biden before because she had so much respect for him.
Really? Respected someone who assaulted her?
this doesn't pass the smell test.

i think amash is a plant by the trump administration.
amash voted to impeach and he left the gop. trump is going to extend an olive branch and squash the beef, and right wing media is going to say "see, trump holds no ill will against him, how presidential." they will join forces to beat "the radical left". it will also be the "you don't change presidents during wartime" strategy, and amash will bring his tea party bona fides to help reel in the never trumpers within the gop. just watch.

This is not uncommon, in fact it is more common not to come out after being sexually assaulted. We live in a fucked up world where the victims are shamed for how they handle being victimized, while according to this study 97% of the rapists walk free. Just think about what side of that argument you want to be on. It is very likely there are people on this forum that have been assaulted without speaking out and there are people on here who have done the assaulting and gotten away with it. It is a major problem that we only pretend to care about in this country, and when it includes prominent figures...forget about it.
People keep bringing up all these big money bogeyman and I would like to state on the record: Bring it on! Soros, Koch, Adelson, Gates, DeVos, whomever. If you uncover any of these people dumping piles of cash on the LP, please post ASAP and I will be *stoked*.

the republicans are too smart when it comes to national elections. they will get their machine going and it is quite possible that this will happen.
if trump was concerned or angry about this, why has he not rage tweeted about it today? why is he not fearing being flanked by the right?
i would not say take this to the bank, but don't rule it out.

Gary Johnson and Bill Weld got 4.5 million votes in 2016. 2 Republican Governors. There's always a Libertarian candidate. This happens every Presidential election.
amash left the gop and voted to impeach. trump should be losing his shit right now, but he isn't. it is too suspicious that he is being quiet about this. this does not add up either.

Oh please. Get off the high horse. It's not like libertarianism is some political force for change in this country. It's nothing more than a protest vote.

With no real life experience of how it would actually work as a functioning society to point to. Just ask a certain someone who hasn’t been around for awhile.
Social media has never influenced anyone to vote for a particular candidate.
Yeah, I'm amazed at how easy it is for people to start spreading conspiracies after refuting the other side's conspiracy theories the last 4 years. It's disappointing.

How can you not read the last few pages of this thread and just put your head in your hands?

It just goes to show how each side can see what they want to see while the other side thinks it's crazy...because it is.
Each side thinks their argument is based in reality and fact. Yuck. It is easy to get caught up in if you suspend disbelief.
As a libertarian who has spent years embarrassed by the behavior of many ideological colleagues, I welcome my Republican and Democrat friends into this familiar world

I'm busting balls about it, but should clarify that I do realize it's a minority that just happens to be very vocal. Same with social media.
