Well I’ve been adamant that I hate polls and don’t buy them. Haven’t mentioned it in a few weeks because I didn’t want to be constantly arguing with Juggler (who is very passionate about polling, folks). And I was ridiculed for my shy/closeted Trump voter argument. So I figured I’d keep out of those conversations. But man, this looks like it could be bad for pollsters. Even if Biden wins.

My thoughts on this and national race: The civil unrest over the summer has played a much bigger role than I think folks thought it would, or believed it would. Like a lot.
COVID: GOP/Trump Believed that people were tired of it, and gambled that a few more deaths of people in their 80, 90, and 100s didn’t bother the majority. People saw the rallies, saw that Trump got over it fairly quick, and thought I miss getting together with people, I’m tired of all this social distancing, I’m ok with taking the chance of being sick for a few days to have a some what normal life back. Dems (being responsible) looked like no fun with the masks, virtual rallies and car rallies. Virtual rallies, what a horseshit idea.

As for COVID, I feel like most people believe it's serious, but there are a lot of people that view any, and I mean any, requirements as "socialism." And there's just enough disinformation to 1) validate thoughts and 2) pass on to suckers for their consumption. And, yeah, COVID fatigue set in. I recall leaving my office in March thinking I'd be back by summer. I haven't been back since and we're officially not going back until June. At some point, people are going to decide "sure, I can work from home, but I'm not going to hide from life."
And all this to "owning the libs" and the Dems needed a better candidate.

The good thing is that Trump can't claim anything tonight because he doesn't have a lead so we can hopefully avoid his early calls to end counting of ballots because it isn't in his favor right now.
