Got through to AirCanada! stay strong! No fee to cancel. 100$ change fee when rebooking flights - must be booked by Jan. 13th 2021.
Are they being kind due to the Coronavirus or did you have a refundable ticket in the first place?
Non-refundable ticket purchased through 3rd party website.
Wow. I’m somewhat impressed/surprised. I looked to see what would happen if I canceled online and they offered next to nothing back (about $50 on a $400 ticket). I guess speaking to an agent helps (?).
They're not giving us a refund, they're just giving us credit toward future flights. (May not have been clear in previous posts). I plan to go to Toronto on vacation (even if PJ can't reschedule a date that is convenient for me to attend), but work has put out a pretty serious travel ban, so the postponing of the tour was the icing on the cake for this trip.
Tampa 04/16 Fenway 1 08/16 Fenway 2 08/16 Fenway 1 09/18 Fenway 2 09/18 PJ songs at our wedding: Love Reign O'er Me (1st dance); Sirens (last dance); Long Road (Momma-Son dance).

I’ll happily take the credit and use it in the summer for somewhere else. Unfortunately, I doubt I’ll try again for Oakland.
not surprised this has happened . truly unfortunate. tickets i'm sure will be valid until they tour again. probably add a few cities along the way. until then everyone stay safe we'll see each other down the road.
$1400 in non refundable flights. $600 in Airbnb's that are too close to the date to cancel. A likely fall tour that I can not take vacation on due to work restrictions. Amazing.
You've already contacted the airlines? Right now they should be refundable.
It’s virtually impossible to get through to Air Canada right now. March break plans in chaos for so many, I suppose.
Ah - I was wondering why I've been on hold for 40 minutes. Makes sense now.
1 hr 10 mins on hold right now, still waiting ...
I called Delta at 10:55 EST. They told me my wait would be over 4 hours. Just called back and was told I would get a callback by 6:00AM

That sucks. We fared better. Friend was covering the gas/ferry to get to oakland. I used 20000 Alaska Air points to get back home. Hotel is cancelled without penalty. Not sure if I can get my points back. They have a thing that you can get a free refund for flights until mar 31. hopefully they extend it into april.
I was really happy with Alaska Airlines in 2014 as I had to delay a flight from Bellingham to Denver by a day at the last moment. Thankfully we were leaving two days early and we salvaged the trip and left a day later. They could have charged us a bundle but waived all charges after I told the guy we were going to see PJ. Good luck with that. Fantastic concert Denver 2014 BTW.
Frontier will waive change and cancellation fees for flights departing between March 3 and March 16. Passengers can make one change without a fee, and the new flights must be before June 1
While not helpful for shows in this tour, I think it’s a good sign they’ll be flexible. I mean, do they really expect this virus to be resolved in a week?
Thanks for posting this. The flights I had are in April after the March 16 period. I would assume this will be extended based on the way things are going with the virus. Now the biggest problem is getting through to frontier to resolve this. I am going to try and e mail them and call throughout the day.
I was largely impressed with the way people were handling this...then I found the pinned thread at the top of the page. Oh boy...
I especially liked the guy who kept screaming, "my dad is a well known doctor!!!!" and wondering why the band doesn't cancel shows for AIDS and cancer.
Taking people's live Pearl Jam away makes them especially cranky.
I understand why it is postponed but doesn’t mean that I’m not a little upset.
As for tickets, I think 10c should give an option based on the new dates whether someone wants to keep or return the tickets for a refund
Ticketmaster controls the tickets now not 10Club or PJ. As with all show postponements, they will honor the tickets and allow you a refund if you desire once the date is announced (or sooner if it takes a while). The real issue is if someone asks for a refund what happens with those tickets? Will 10c get to do another lottery for them or does Ticketmaster just put them up for sale as they would normally?
disclaimer - don’t get your hopes up for msg or Denver. No real reason to get a refund with open market. So tix will be available but at market prices.
Sorry. The world doesn't work the way you tell it to.
West jet has just announced rescheduling, refund policy in light of corona virus impacts. Looks like customers might be able to get refunds. Hopefully other airlines will follow suit so fans affected by cancellations can get some money back!

My guess is that they'll just offer up another fan to fan option.
I love this band. This is very stressful for them as well I am disappointed but I get it. I understand. At least we have a good new album coming
And they gave a good amount of notice. We were worried there'd be no news before the 14th, when we fly from Boston to Toronto, and then we'd find out next week that the shows were postponed. At least now, we can cancel rooms and flights. We'll have a staycation next week and save up for the rescheduled dates.
"I'm a lucky man, to count on both hands the [shows I've done]. Some folks just have one, others they got none..."
I think this is probably the right decision at this time - although I believe that it's very likely this virus scare is blown way out of proportion and might even be a scam.
Not a fan of their backhanded comment about the government, though. From a PR perspective, that comment wasn't a smart choice. Not because it is partisan, but rather it could cast doubt on their motivations for taking this action in the minds of some. It does nothing to cast them in a more favorable light and it's divisive when there is no need to be. It only has downsides.
The only people we should try to get even with...

Right 'round the corner could be bigger than ourselves.

Scam? Care to elaborate?

Imagine having sold your tickets on the fan to fan thing because you found you couldnt attend these dates and now need tickets for the rearranged show. That would be a bit of a spanking!!!
@sp1984 Have you spoken to Air Canada yet? I was supposed to fly Newark to Toronto on AC a week from today and haven't yet called to see what my options are.
ETA: I've seen your later posts. I booked AC thru the United website so I'm not exactly sure which airline to start with.

She is probably on her way home (and then to bed), so I'll answer for her - she did get through. No refund, but they're essentially crediting us the cost of the tickets. We have until next January to use the credit (I'm guessing 1 year from the date we booked), and there will be a $100 rescheduling fee.

It’s a virus, like the Flu, so it’s easily transmitted person to person. They are working on vaccines. What kind of clear message do you need... We could close the borders and limit travel. But that would be racist, right.
