I'm not a big fan of the fast songs with too many words. This seems to be one of them. Only one listen though, so maybe it'll grow on me. There are parts I like, like the solo and some of the riffing.
When the vocal is going full speed there is not much else to listen to. That’s when it sounds like Ed and his Backing Band.
Yeah I'd be cool if Ed cut down his singing parts on this one tbh. I did like the part at 2:20 though.

Sounds like a half finished demo. Needs focus and lyrics that flow with the music. Having a "la la la la la" part instead of coming up with lyrics is just lazy, especially at a part where you'd expect a killer chorus to kick in.
Agree with most of the last few comments. Like the intro, Ed's vocals then don't fit well over the music, then from Mike's solo to the end of the song is the best part IMO.
There's some good parts of this song, but I think it'll be one I'll enjoy rather than love.

It’s decent. I tend to lean away from the more “straight forward” rockers of late, but this is one of the betters ones. Production is great, especially the drums and bass, but what really makes it is the stand out solo from Mike, the best and most interesting in quite a while imo.

It definitely needs a decent stereo/headphones to appreciate it, there's some layering going on that stands out with a good setup. To my ears it sounds like a mix of various songs such as Getaway, Johnny G, etc. I'm curious to see if they can represent it well live or if it'll be a bit of a struggle like Getaway has proven to be.
There's a great energy to it though, similar to DotC it sounds as if they're energised through their playing.

Thought it was good on first listen. Liked it more than I did when I heard MYM for the first time that is for sure. I am curious if it is really a song that they would play 30 out of the 32 shows this year or not. Either way very excited to hear it again and to see it live.
