He did,  but it hasn't been called yet

Huge.  That's not about delegates,  it's about the message it sends for the general.  He has real strength in the purple states.

I will say there were a bunch of Trump supporters on an overpass over the highway the other day.

They had a bunch of flags and were waving at traffic.  From what I could tell, they were not getting a lot of support from rush hour.

I honked and waved at them with my one good finger

I agree it's closer to blue,  but it was tight in 2016.  It's also the closest race from 16 that's in the mix tonight.

Warren as Biden’s Secretary of the Treasury. She’ll get Team Trump Treason’s tax returns. Not a bad way to spend your golden years.
I love it. This reads like Democrat fan-fiction! How about they beat Trump at something for once before ya begin envisioning Biden appointing Warren to live out her golden years. But I’ll play along. I like Biden. In fact, let’s all do a Biden cabinet fantasy draft. Emphasis on “fantasy.” Get your picks ready...

    Draft order:

    1) mrussell (sec. of education)
    2) cincybearcat (sec. of state)
    3) halifax (sec of treasury)
    4) hughfreakindillion (sec of defense)
    5) spiritual chaos (homeland security)

    and so on....
Brian Lux for Secretary of the Interior.

Awww shucks, thanks!  But seriously, if he were still around, the job should've gone to the much more agile Lux Interior!

That is exactly what everyone said about Trump 4 years ago. Everyone said "don't worry, as some of the other 15 candidates drop out then their votes will not go to Trump." But that is exactly what happened. I'm guessing it will happen here too. Bernie only needs about 20% of the other voters when they drop to keep the lead, and that isnt much.
I agree.  The GOP/RNC should have stepped in and prevented that from happening.

Happy to see you advocating for DNC intervention.  Remove Bernie as a candidate, the sooner the better.

The DNC gets to choose who they want to support and promote.  It is not a public, democratic body.  It is a private organization.

    But you knew that.
That may be true, but requiring a majority in the general election to win it, makes it extremely difficult for anything but a duopoly to exist in the USA. Then, if those two parties are (practically speaking) the only avenues to the presidency, and one has to be vetted by the private organizations prior to being nominated, then I'd argue that he's right and it's just not a democratic process. You could argue that this is evidenced by the fact that it's only been one of the two major parties who's ever actually succeeded.

Welcome then!  That's a pretty different culture, from Germany to Michigan.

Thank you :) Weather and landscape are a lot alike and there are no super dangerous animals here or stuff like tornadoes, so this is a good state to be in. It is a different culture, but I would say that goes for America as a whole. It is all and nothing like one knows from tv, books or even university. It has been seven years here for me now, so things are not that strange to me anymore.

Tomorrow I will cast my first ever vote as an American. I was rooting for Warren but have not made my mind up who I will go for tomorrow. I am very excited to finally be able to participate in the process.
Congrats!  Where are you from originally and where do you live now?

From Germany, living in the mitten.

I took "mitten" to be Wisconsin (when I was there people would use their hand to point to where their town was, with the thumb being door county...but yeah, the lower peninsula does look more like a mitten...

If Bernie loses in Michigan today, does he drop out? Or, does he run third party? And if so, why?

I don't think he drops out even if he has a horrible day today. And in my opinion, he shouldn't. Lots of states still have to vote in April (including mine). He's taken it this far over the past five years, I think he should take it until Biden beats him.

I don't think Sanders would run third-party. He seems sincere in his "Trump is the most dangerous president ever" stance and knows that a third-party run guarantees Trump's victory.

It's in April. I'm voting in the Västergötland primary.

I don't think Bernie will make it. His biggest chance are the young voters, and they are apparently not going to vote. This has probably been mentioned a ton here already though. It's gonna be interesting to see what happens tonight.
