Dr. Deborah Birx, coordinator of the White House coronavirus response team, told us that we should not visit our family during the Holidays, keep gatherings to our immediate households only.

Andrew Cuomo, Governor of New York and brother of Chris Cuomo (who allegedly received special treatment himself) was always a big proponent of mask wearing. Except that time, he wasn't. He also didn't self quarantine when he returned either, because he's essential.
I could continue because the examples are endless, lets not make this a Democrat vs Republican thing, its more an elite or ruling class against the rest of us. As to the vaccine, I would love to see the numbers on the people who have gotten the vaccine who preach vaccine hesitancy, as I would love to see the numbers of the people who have not gotten the vaccine that have been brow-beating us for months to take it. It would probably be eye opening.
Edited to add, these people have more information than we will ever have or ever want to know, why again should I be worried about the virus if they are truly not worried about the virus and not following their own guidelines and restrictions?

Care to comment on the actual post or nah? Cincy seems to suggest that if "y'all had worn masks and stayed apart we wouldn't have needed a vaccine", with "y'all" of course referring to the Qtards, trumplicans, Grand POOBAH, and whatever other cute names you have around here. But it turns out, the ones imposing all these lockdowns and restrictions were the ones not following them. Crazy huh? Rules are for thee, not for me.hippiemom = goodness0 -
And yes, the trump admin and the stupid medical people and especially the CDC in the beginning with their nonsense about not wearing masks (because they were afraid people would buy them all up and medical professionals wouldn’t have them) caused a shit ton of this nonsense in the USA.hippiemom = goodness0

How about this hot off the presses JAMA research letter on the effects of masking our kids. I think the ink is still drying on this one.
https://jamanetwork.com/journals/jamapediatrics/fullarticle/2781743Research LetterJune 30, 2021Experimental Assessment of Carbon Dioxide Content in Inhaled Air With or Without Face Masks in Healthy ChildrenA Randomized Clinical Trial
Many governments have made nose and mouth covering or face masks compulsory for schoolchildren. The evidence base for this is weak.1,2 The question whether nose and mouth covering increases carbon dioxide in inhaled air is crucial. A large-scale survey3 in Germany of adverse effects in parents and children using data of 25 930 children has shown that 68% of the participating children had problems when wearing nose and mouth coverings.
The normal content of carbon dioxide in the open is about 0.04% by volume (ie, 400 ppm). A level of 0.2% by volume or 2000 ppm is the limit for closed rooms according to the German Federal Environmental Office, and everything beyond this level is unacceptable.4
DiscussionThe limitations of the study were its short-term nature in a laboratory-like setting and the fact that children were not occupied during measurements and might have been apprehensive. Most of the complaints reported by children3 can be understood as consequences of elevated carbon dioxide levels in inhaled air. This is because of the dead-space volume of the masks, which collects exhaled carbon dioxide quickly after a short time. This carbon dioxide mixes with fresh air and elevates the carbon dioxide content of inhaled air under the mask, and this was more pronounced in this study for younger children.
This leads in turn to impairments attributable to hypercapnia. A recent review6 concluded that there was ample evidence for adverse effects of wearing such masks. We suggest that decision-makers weigh the hard evidence produced by these experimental measurements accordingly, which suggest that children should not be forced to wear face masks.

I just find it incredible how so many people jump down the throats of those who were supposedly supposed to know everything with a NEW virus.
It's not like they had decades to study this virus, it was only discovered in November of '19.0
