I ve been working out the past few weeks at home since my surgery in October.   I have dumbbells 5-50
pounds and a bench. I ve gotten used to it. I blast some pj on my old school iPod. But my eyes definitely don’t get the same work out.

I’ll be outside all weekend working on my yard cleanup for spring , I’m also going walking through the woods get some nice fresh air glad I live in suburbs not in City...

Excellent therapy! Maybe you’ll get to see deer escaping head of the harbor?

Decided to see what all the fuss was about at the grocery store tonight. I’m in St. Paul, mn.

Security guards at both entrances.  Of course, no toilet paper, pasta, rice, beans, almost no meat, soup, and cereal. Bonkers. The organic/natural foods aisle was well stocked though. Go figure.

Stay healthy my friends. We’ll see this through.
Where there eggs available? I’m serious
No idea. Didn’t wander through the diary section. I only went to get a tub of ice cream and some salsa.
I'm surprised that lone package of TP survived the stampede.
That’s a prime example of “Minnesota nice.”  No one wants to be the person that takes the last piece of anything.
Hilarious. And true. I'm in Minneapolis and went to the store this morning.

They were light on pasta rice beans potatoes etc

Everything else was stocked. Got pretty much everything I needed. Including eggs.

Spring is here, and sunny outside -- so being outside a bit is not a bad idea.

Have a "wellness grant" from work of 205 dollars a year. So pay 20 bucks of my own money for a year at the local gym.

But last year I got a gymcard, never visited once.

Do you use the turquoise for curls?

^ Cool setup. I have an elliptical but no weights, which blows right now. I use so much equipment at the gym, so this will be a rough period. Lots of push ups. Going old school. I think it’s rumored Hershel Walker did nothing but push-ups...worked for him!

Walmart has the cheapest prices for dumbbells.  Get a few at a time.

I got a Concept D rower last year and could not figure out how to get an effective workout using it.  I watched Youtube videos on technique and still couldn't get any  effective resistance to get my HR over 130.  ended up returning it as it was $1000 and thankfully very easy to repackage and ship back.

I’m kinda over the Corona beer jokes. Funny the first couple times, then...

There’s a decent gym in my building. Lived here almost 30 years and been using it regularly for the last few months for the first time. Ironic that it took an illness to get me there, but I love it.

Eye candy? Not in the typical public gym sense but it IS there on occasion :sunglasses:

My my home gym setup. The dreadmill is housed in the four season porch.

Another nice thing is that I don’t have to deal with the sweathogs who never wipe shit down after they use it. Just gross.

I've been working out at home instead of going to the gym.  That sounds like nothing, I'm sure, but it suuuuucks.
What are you doing at home?  Considering the same.  NVM....saw your photos.  I wanna do some cardio.  Too bad I don’t have Sweating to the Oldies.

Ugghh, I have an exercise bike I found by the dumpster. What's a bit more mold to add to the mix!

I've been skiing though and staying out of the chalets.

The gym has alot of boomers, so I've been avoiding that except to swim.

I'm feeling hopeless and doomed.  My wife wants to keep working at the bookstore.  We don't need the money- we're already semi-retired  can get by without it until this things settles down.  She has kept some engagements like going out to lunch with a friend yesterday and again out to breakfast with a friend this morning.  I keep trying to explain to her that being in our late 60's we are more at risk and that it makes sense for us to be more strict in social distancing.  She thinks we are not at risk.  Right.  I feel like I have a gun with 10 chambers to my head and all but one is loaded.  Spin the cylinder.  See if I get lucky.  What a life.

My setup sucks, I've got a rickety little bench with an easy curl bar and 150lbs in plates.  I don't have the money or the space for an upgrade right now.

Just set up your laptop for porn in your work out room. You'll be fine.

That’s a bummer, Brian. Hopefully you guys can find a common ground approach. I think this thing has a lot of people confused on what behaviors and measures should be taken and it becomes even tougher when there are two adults in a household that view it differently. I’m going through some of that at home as well. It’s not fun. Keep your head up, stay healthy and this too shall pass.
  • Yeah if you are not on the same page you need to make her stay in the guest house.
    Jk.  ;)
That sucks but I am sure this is happening a lot.
Hope you can both work to get on the same pages with your sos.
